"I usually buy loose tea from Upton Tea Imports which have really nice high quality teas. This tea, as noted by others, had a lot of loose twigs which initially alarmed me but it really doesn't matter. The tea brewed up fine, nice and strong, and the taste was as expected. Good quality but cheaper than I usually buy which to me, is a winner."
"This is more of a Chinese sencha; not a crisp, green Japanese sencha. It's a good everyday tea, but not what I was looking for to drink during hot summer days. This may be why the person described it as brown rather than a bright, green Japanese sencha. It is not a high quality tea and so it does have some twigs, but just brew them along with the leaves. You just can't get high quality tea at this price, but you can get a decent brew. I'd buy it again."
"I have been using this Frontier tea for at least 10 years, (previously ordered directly from Frontier but thanks to Vitacost for a great deal!) have tried others, including much more expensive ones online and none are this consistently good. It is smooth, mild, and flavorful, just right. Make a working canister and store the bulk in the freezer.
To the person who said it was brown and woody, that had to be an error and should have been sent back. I have never gotten brown, woody tea, it is always pale green leaves with no debris."
