Review 1 for Alter Eco Thai Sticky Purple Rice Gluten Free -- 16 oz
"Mom made me sticky rice since I was a kid, either white and purple. Having purple when special occasion and this is definitely not those purple sticky rice my mom made. Either taste and texture. I gave 2 stars as they can still be eaten.
Seems like, they mix original purple sticky rice with long grain ordinary white rice. When the purple hasn't cooked yet the white one almost turned into porridge. Unlike purple sticky rice mom made, having nutty savory flavour and firmed but well done rice texture. Not recommend for those who knows what purple sticky rice taste and feels like ,,"

Not all purple rice!
December 28, 2014
"The label on this product and description gives the impression that we are pruchasing Purple Rice which is not the case. It is a blend of rice and the majority being white!
Once cooked, it is a good combination of taste otherwise but I wil not buy again for the very reason that label is misleading and the blend makes the product more expensive than buying Purple Rice bulk at the Co-Op Health Food Store near me."

"This rice is slightly sweet, fast cooking and possibly addictive! If you like Jasmine rice you will probably like this too. This is my family’s favorite!"
