great flavor!
 November 29, 2014
"I ordered this as a kind of base for breakfast smoothies. I receive a lot of fruit in my door to door organics orders and as weird as it may seem I actually am not a big fan of fruit. So, I figured that making smoothies would be the best option for ingesting the amount of fruit that I need in a day. This has a very mellow taste so it doesn't interfere with other flavors.I also appreciate that is entirely plant-based, because even though I am only vegetarian and not vegan I try to limit my animal intake as much as possible. On its own, the powder mixed with 1 cup of milk is slightly thin, but when mixed with other fruits it actually turns out to be a pretty thick and fulfilling smoothie. It is slightly gritty, which is expected with most protein powders, but I think it is a lot better than many that I have tried. Word to the wise, especially if you are going to just use the powder and milk and not blend it in a blender, it works best to you gradually add milk to the powder making a paste and working up to a palatable consistency. Otherwise, as with most powders, you might end up with lumps and chunks which probably isn't what you're going for."
