"Nutiva always has high quality chia. I buy a lot of their products including coconut oil (very good!) I bought these white chia seeds this time a I heard they are better for us than the regular black. I make a jar of the gel and put in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Did you know chia has more nutritional value when it sits in the fridge? Interesting stuff.. I also use it as an egg replacer in baking some times and add it to my granola bars to help with the sticking."

"these weird jell like little seeds are really good for weight loss because a small amount gives needed fiber and protein. Can drink with hot water or add to shakes. They tend to jell up but it is not offensive and they go down smooth. here is little to no taste. Will buy again."

"I love the idea of Chia Seeds. They have protein, omega 3s, and are packed with vitamins! I first tried them in my morning smoothie, and, if you know me, I sip those pretty slow. This is how I learned that Chia seeds turn liquid into a gel-like substance. I could not stand the texture, personally. Alternatively, I do like to sprinkle the seeds over a salad to add a bit of variety and texture. I've come across a few recipes for Chia seed pudding, which I may try someday soon. I would definitely recommend this product! It's a great deal; cheaper than the chia seeds at whole foods."

"When I began adding a tbls. of black organic chia seed to my daily smoothies, I noticed one particularly dramatic effect. My digestion improved markedly. I found myself able to litterally gorge on foods;nuts for instance; that previously left my stomach sour for days. When I switched to white chia ( mainly because black chia seems in short supply) I noticed more instances of indigestion. I haven't gorged on any nuts lately, but the increase in indigestion, I feel, can be traced to the absence of whatever the black seeds contain. Several sources indicated that white and black chia seeds are nutritionally identical, and I realize alI I offer is anecdotal evidence, but I can only go with my gut; pun intended."
