Oil was old

"Oils are hard to deal with and have a limited shelf life. This oil had a very "rank" smell to it like it had been sitting around for a while."

Pay more and get the better product, not this

"I noticed how expensive all the other emu oils were, so I decided to cheap out and buy the one that costs the least. BIG MISTAKE! It smells like chicken fried in a pan then left out to go rancid. The texture is inconsistent, so it does not spread well. The label does not have enough information about the manufacturer, even Vitacost could not find their contact info. No website or phone number. It's like they're trying to hide something. BAD QUALITY. Go with the better emu oils. Please don't be a cheapo!"

"I have used Emu oil for years. Normally, I purchase it from VT Emu (which Vitacost does not carry), but I was trying to save money by adding this onto my Vitacost order and taking advantage of the free shipping.
The product was not as smooth as what I am accustomed to and had an "off" aroma, like it could be rancid (although that seems unlikely unless it was stored improperly for a long time).
Anyhow, I am going to throw it out, so it wasn't worth what I paid."
