Crown Prince Natural. Flat Fillets of Anchovies in Pure Olive Oil. Wild Caught . Product of Morocco. Anchovies are prepared using the oldest known method of presrving food - salt curring. We start with the highest quality fresh anchovies and place them in barrels in alternate layers with sea salt. Maturing occurs from 3-12 months. A slower maturing process is better for extended shelf life. After curing workers clean and pack the anchovies by hand in pure olive oil. Their unique flavor is perfect for salads casseroles and as a pizza topper.

"In chef John's Italian sauce and worth the effort. These melt right down and add a buttery nutty like flavor that is authentic and impossible to duplicate without anchovies.....no fishy taste...you'd never know what makes my sauce so good if Chef John hadn't told me!!,"

"Most important was to not have a bunch of additives or commonly contaminated/GMO oils. But being in a jar is a huge bonus so they can be easily resealed and put away. But this jar is packed pretty well and is quite small (cute actually). But still as I picked into it the fillets came out mostly whole. Though I'm certain some of it will end up broken. But the taste - they're really good! I've tried a few brands and I'd say Reese is ok, but I'm definitely going to get more of these. They're not mushy (relatively), and have a bit of chew to them."
