"I was a regular user of o.b. tampons back in the day, before they started using that horrific silky lining. Well ladies, regular tampons are made with synthetic materials that can leach chemicals in to your body. Even if you buy ones that are pure cotton, (if it's not organic) then you are basically shoving bleach up there. These are amazing, and work like the old original o.b. without any chemicals. I have been using these for over 3 years now and will never change!"
"I would never use another kind of tampon again. I used to have such pain and cramping when on my period. After switching to a chlorine-free tampon I have never had another pain. Vitacost has the absolute best price anywhere!"
"There are so many things I love about these. They are tiny and can fit anywhere undetected. I can keep an entire box of them in my makeup bag at work. I love the minimal packaging. They work wonderfully, and I love that they are organic and do not contain all the chemicals of the other mainstream brands. I do miss an applicator, though. I will definitely switch over to the applicator ones in the future. I heartily recommend these!"
"Something about the design of most no-applicator cotton tampons is flawed, in my opinion. The kind with no applicator seems to have a cone design, and the outer layers soak up fluid while the inner layers stay dry. The applicator version is a coil or rolled version, and it absorbs completely through. I have pulled out these no-applicator suckers and they aren't even halfway soaked, but my panties are :o/. I recommend the applicator every time. Their applicators don't stick. Not as good as Azalea brand though."
"I just read two reviews that complained about the fact that these tampons don't have applicators. Well, they do. All one has to do is read the descriptions carefully. These tampons are available without applicator for those who love to maximize space in their purse and are environmentally conscious, and with applicator for those who are squeamish. I personally prefer the ones without applicator. I've used OB for years before I switched to Natracare, and there's no turning back. It's a great product."
"When I first bought these tampons, it was mainly because I didn't like the idea of putting things in my body that had been bleached (most regular tampons) and they seemed to be a reasonable price considering they were all natural and organic. They are all I use now, and I buy them in large quantities. In my experience they give just as much protection as "normal" tampons, but are safer, more discreet, and produce less waste. On that note, some people may not like that they don't have an applicator, but to me it has made no difference in routine and I feel better about using them all around. Great product!"
"I usually read reviews, but thought, "tampons - what could go wrong". I wasn't real thrilled with the applicator-less type. "Less waste" is usually my mantra, but when it comes to this, I at least prefer a cardbord applicator. Less messy. As for performance, I didn't think they were very good at absorbtion. I went thru a lot more than I would normally use with Tampax."
"I recently purchased this product and was satisfied. I think it provides the right amount of protection for "normal" days. Just FYI- these do not come with an applicator. I do not mind as no applicator= less waste, but some people might be turned off by this."
