VitaSpelt Organic Spelt Angel Hair -- 8 oz

Made with VitaSpelt®. Nature's Legacy. Pure • Wonderfood. Made with All Natural Ingredients. Nature's Legacy pastas are made with pure ancient grains grown and harvested using traditional methods. Unlike modern-day varieties of wheat which have been over-hybridized and over-processed to increase yields and reduce costs the grains are harvested with the protective hull intact. This eliminates the need for harmful pesticides and preserves the grains' high-quality nutrients. These legendary natural grains revered by Europeans for thousands of years nurture the immune system by supplying a broad spectrum of nutrients in a form our bodies recognize as pure food. Enjoy the great taste and texture of these fine pastas - truly a gift from nature.

Spelt angel hair
 July 8, 2014
"My local organic grocery store carries spelt, but not angel hair. ( ultra thin) This is our favorite pasta since it is better for you. I believe that even gluten intolerant people can eat it!"

Great pasta..
 March 21, 2014
"I am trying to get away from all pasta products made with "wheat".
I have changed all my baking flours to spelt and have made some really delicious cookies and dessert loafs with this grain. This pasta is EXCELLENT....great taste and consistency. One thing you must really be aware of is the cooking time!! DO NOT OVERCOOK! Remember, it wouldn't be the products fault....it would be yours.
A little pricey....that is the down side.

Best Healthy Pasta
 March 2, 2014
"This is the best healthy pasta I have ever eaten. It tastes like regular pasta so no one knows it is healthy. I get the angel hair because it mixes well and is better also because I have braces so it does not get into them. I have used regular tomato pasta sauce and also made a casserole with chicken."

great texture and taste

"I usually try to only use 100% whole grain but these are a nice treat. I tried the whole grain ones...they are ok but sometimes I like these better"

Not heavy like semolina wheat pasta!
 June 27, 2012
"I love angel hair pasta and am thrilled to purchase white Vitaspelt on Vitacost. It does have a slightly different taste than semolina pasta, but it's a good taste and nothing I didn't get used to after the first few times. I actually prefer this taste now, as it's not as bland as regular pasta. I also feel that Vitaspelt is not as heavy in the stomach, as regular pasta tends to be gummy and binding, which is not good for the intestines and digestion. Spelt is more water soluble, so nutrients are absorbed better making it easy to digest. It's also high in protein and it's a good fiber resource. All in all, it's much better for you! I prefer the white to the whole wheat, as the whole wheat Vitaspelt is more grainy."

not gummy.
 April 19, 2012
"some non-wheat pastas are gummy, and just taste "off." Vita spelt, especially the angel hair, tastes very close to wheat pasta and has a nice texture."
