"I have been using another high quality brand for several years and decided to try this because of its price. I was very surprised when I tasted this coconut oil and liked it better. It has a very smooth, silky subtle taste. As part of a non-toxic lifestyle, I use coconut oil for many, many things such as cooking and as a moisturizer. This worked great! The food had a luscious feel to it and it wasn't greasy on my skin or hair. I used to use olive oil for cooking but not anymore since I learned that it turns rancid during cooking--now I use it only for non-cooking purposed like salad dressing. For the price, this coconut oil is an excellent value! Highly recommend!"

"We have used coconut oil for years and have always liked Nutiva. The only thing we didn't like about the Nutiva brand was that it was usually very stiff and trying to spread it was like trying to spread cold butter. The Vitacost brand tastes ever bit as good, if not just a bit sweeter, and it is much smoother and softer so it doesn't tear up our toast. As Forest Gump said, "One less thing to worry about"."

"When I heard that coconut oil was good for me and started looking for the best price, I came across the Vitacost Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil and decided to give it a try. I was so pleased with it as I cook my eggs in it, fried rice in it, sauté veggies in it - anything I cook in oil, I cooked in my coconut oil. As I learn more and more about the health benefits of coconut oil, I've used it in making muffins and even mixed it with nuts, shredded coconut, and/or chocolate chips to make a healthy "candy." Who says you can't have your yummy oil and eat it, too?"

"I love this coconut oil. I use it to replace butter in my baking, but NOT in cooking because it does have a distinct coconut taste and smell. I also use the oil for skin care- either plain or combined with essential oils.
A little tip for coconut oil: whip it! When I get a new container I promptly scoop it all into the bowl of my stand mixer, mix it up for a few minutes, and scoop it all back into the container. It makes it so much easier to use when it is soft and you don't have to chisel it out of the container."
