"This shampoo was my first foray into non-toxic organic products for hair. I was sooo disappointed that I made my own shampoo. This product left my hair and my daughter's hair looking greasy and though it was soft, looking dirty didn't make up for it. I won't purchase this product again. I have been searching the reviews for a better product from Aubrey and will probably try a different shampoo of theirs."

"again, i love that aubrey products are truly all natural but i did not like this shampoo. it did clean my hair which is why i said it's effectiveness was average but it tangled my 4a/4b hair terribly. i had to follow up with loads of conditioner just to get any sort of slip back in the hair to detangle without ripping my hair out."

"Like the other reviewer, this product is too heavy and greasy for my type of hair. After washing my hair, my hair dried and looked dirty like it had not been washed in days. I am sending this product back."

"I used this shampoo on my biracial daughter's hair, which is thick and curly. It keeps her hair looking shiny and is easier to comb through. I've used it twice on my hair and it works well. I have dry coarse hair and itchy scalp but Hugo Naturals works best for my itchy scalp."

"This is absolutely the best shampoo for me. I have very thick, curly hair. All the other products I have ever tried have left my hair fuzzy or frizzy. I love this shampoo and the conditioner that goes with it, because it leaves me with nice curls, I don't need any styling product at all, and my hair looks good without washing for a day or two after using it. I would not recommend it for a person with thinner or straighter hair, because I think it would leave that type of hair greasy looking and flat, but for my hair type, it's fabulous."

"I love Aubrey's products, but this one just doesn't work for my hair. I am caucasian with hair that is thin in texture and density. I also tried this for my daughters, as well. This shampoo (and the conditioner) was just way to heavy for our hair. Left our hair feeling heavy and actually looking greasy. Not a good one for us, but maybe for you, if your hair type is different."
