Source Naturals B-1 -- 100 mg - 250 Tablets

Thiamin. Supports Energy Production. Vitamin B-1 is intimately involved in many aspects of nerve health and function. The active coenzyme form of B-1, thiamin pyrophosphate (TPP), is necessary for energy production and is essential for the formation of acetylcholine, a major neurotransmitter. Magnesium plays a role in neuromuscular transmission and activity, promoting muscle relaxation. A highly processed “junk food” diet, excessive alcohol intake, and exhaustive exercise may increase the need for B-1.

"I did some research on natural insect repellent because I'm highly allergic to Off and other mosquito sprays. Apparently, those with diets high in B1 Thiamin have less of a problem with biting insects. I've been told that the vitamin has a cumulative affect so it takes 2 weeks to see the results. I'm not quite at 2 weeks so I can't really say if it's working or not. However, I don't guess it can really hurt anything, right?"
