"The Avalon Organic shampoo is wonderful. It smells delightful and makes my hair feel so clean. I love that there are no detergents in it. I love the fact that my gray hair does not look dingy after blow drying.

"I've been using this shampoo for a while.... at least a year. I don't know if it is the shampoo or just me but I am losing less hair than I was before. My hair does feel slightly thicker. It has a nice fragrance too. I will keep buying this."

"I liked this product at first and I could tell it was stimulating my scalp. However it dried my hair out so bad and I didn't realize it was the shampoo/conditioner doing it until I switched to another brand. I thought my hair was really badly damaged and that I would need a haircut, but no it was just this shampoo making my hair awful. I do not recommend this shampoo at all!"

"I am 66 yrs old -soon to be 67 & have very thin fine hair. Have been using this shampoo for several months now and would not go back to any other... You can feel that it leaves your hair squeaky clean after you shampoo...Does not have all the additives in it that makes the hair weigh down and build up on your hair. Gives my hair great body- highly recommend it."

"If you need a product to strengthen your hair, make it look full,and grow it back from a damaged state..this is it! Get both the shampoo and conditioner together and also take B Complex vitamins and drink plenty of water for a total package. It works, be patient."

"after using this products for several months. My husband uses it too, but no change with his hair.
It doesn't lather like typical shampoo, but it cleans well. I'm not crazy about the smell, but it doesn't last. This is my favorite shampoo."

"This is the 1st time I have EVER written a review on a product btw..But this Avalon Organics Thickening Biotin Shampoo REALLY, TRULY works! In the short time I've been using it (just about 3 wks or so..) I've noticed a huge difference in my hair. It is absolutely thicker, healthier looking and perhaps a bit longer as well. I had been lamenting to friends how my hair really just doesn't seem to grow much any more, but alas, getting better!! I have naturally curly hair and it makes my curls look great too! I will absolutely continue to purchase this product!"

"I bought this because I couldn't use the Castille Soap as my organic shampoo. It made my hair heavy and didn't style well. This shampoo is great! I also use the conditioner. It doesn't lather much, which is ok (but thought I should mention it). The conditioner doesn't feel very 'condition-like and soft' while using it, but when I dry my hair, it feels great. And I have very long hair! I plan on using this for a long time!"

Seriously why the high reviews?

"I really wanted to love this product and based off all the great reviews online I thought it would be great-NOT so. This shampoo is SUPER drying, does not lather well, nor does it clean well. Really it won't get any oil out of hair or clean dandruff, yet somehow it managed to dry my hair out crazily. I ended up shampooing my hair with travel shampoos instead. I tried this for 2-3 weeks, hoping things would get better-they didn't. I did not have the patience to finish the bottle-it went in the garbage. Both me (who has long to medium length hair) and my husband couldn't stand this shampoo. Rather use a drug store brand of hair shampoo over this one."

"This shampoo is true to its word. It lathers and cleans well without making my hair dry, frizzy, or filmy. I've used professional salon products with similar claims. They are full of SLS and other chemicals. This shampoo has worked better than any I've tried. My hair even feels softer but isn't weighed down by plastics. I recommend it to anyone with fine or thinning hair, and to anyone experiencing more hair loss than usual from stress or other factors. I noticed my hair loss has markedly decreased both in the shower and when combing/brushing. I used this in conjunction with the thickening conditioner. I recommend both."
