"I love this product so much that's it's the first time that I want to leave a review. My hair is extremely hard to manage. Most products are too heavy or too light for my multi textured, unruly head of hair. I'm always mixing and matching. Sometimes I hit it right and sometimes I don't. With this product I always hit it right. I put it on after washing and conditioning and lightly towel drying and it keeps my thick, curly, frizzy mane soft and controlled. If your hair is coarse and tends to never get 'over moisturized' by conditioner, etc. you will LOVE this product. Lots of moisture, just enough hold and no CRUNCHINESS. Enjoy!"

"I agree with other reviewers who said that this product makes hair soft. That it does. But what I do not like about it is that it dulls my hair. After the first day, my hair was no longer shiny. I think that's because it contains jojoba oil. I have noticed that whenever I add my own jojoba oil to hair products, I get the same results--meaning jojoba oil seems to dull hair. I like jojoba oil for skin care, but not for hair care, for the reason I just explained."

"I've had a dry scalp problem for as long as I can remember. For the last 20 years I've been using Three Flowers Hair Oil/Brilliantine. Now that I'm scrutinizing my hygene products, I really want to avoid the colors and mineral oil. This stuff is a great replacement. I use it twice a day after showers. NICE SCENT too.

Cheers!

It does smell very good, and I just use it as lotion.

"I was hoping it would have more coconut smell but it is a very strong lavender smell. It works ok but not well enough for my thick curly hair. You have to use a ton to get control and then you smell like your covered in a lavender plant. If you have fine curley hair it should work well for you."

Not sure, July 12, 2009

"I love the smell and consistency of this product. My hair is very thick and coily, and this product just melts right in without feeling oily and sitting on top. I would have given this product 5 stars if I could find more info on Ethanol denatured, being that it is the 3rd ingredient on the list. I looked on Dr. Bronner's website and in the FAQ section they did state why they use this ingredient, but I don't want to use this product regularly and suffer long term effects from something drying like alcohol. The website states "used as a natural preservative at a level that helps absorption without being drying". Make your own decision of course."

"This is a great follow up after using dr. bronners natural soaps which can dry hair out a tad bit. The trick to using this hair creme I found out is to use just the right amount. Took a few tries, the first time I put too little in, the 2nd so much my hair looked greasy lol. But I love this leave in conditioner."

"I love this little purple bottle of magic. I used it off and on then used it consistently. Once I became serious with it's usage I reaped the rewards. Moisturized, 4a/4b type naturally curly hair for hours. The only negative I had was the lack of mixing with my IC liquid leave-in but on it's own--terrific!I will always use this on the weeks I am not using my ALBA leave-in."

"This hair creme keeps the ends moisturized and frizz free, however a little goes a long way. Too much will make hair greasy, especially near the scalp. It took a while to realize just how little is needed for each of my boys' curly coiffs. And light, even distribution is key. This is not for average hair, but for very dry, curly/frizzy hair. I mix a drop of this with a drop of Weleda Rosemary Hair Oil, rub together in the palms of my hands, apply to damp hair, concentrating on ends, then comb through to evenly distribute. Now that I finally figured out how little to use, I will definitely continue to buy Dr. Bronner's Magic Organic Hair Creme."

"This product is FANTASTIC for my thick, coarse, unruly hair. I would not recommend it for people with fine hair; I think it might weigh down fine hair too much. You only need a little; I need to use two pumps because my hair REALLY absorbs this stuff. I work it through my whole head (except for the roots) after I towel dry my hair, and even after high heat blow drying my hair is very soft and virtually frizz free. This product really works for me, and I will DEFINITELY be buying this regularly. The fragrance is really nice too, not overpowering."

"It looks best when I use it after shampooing and then lightly blow dry. It keeps the frizz down, and helps my curls behave. I also use it when I don't shampoo and dampen it, just to tame my hair. But then it does feel a bit stiff. Still it keeps my hair down. It really depends on your hair type. I never felt like it caused my hair to be oily. I have thick frizzy/curly hair. This helps my hair curl instead of frizz. I like not worrying about the ingredients, since they're all pronouncable and natural."
