NSI® Chia Seeds provide a great source of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, protein and dietary fiber. How do NSI® Chia Seeds work? Chia seeds are one of the richest plant sources of omega-3 essential fatty acids (EFAs), particularly alpha-linolenic acid. Omega-3 EFAs are polyunsaturated "good" fats. They're classified as "essential" because though the body needs them for complete health, it cannot produce them on its own - therefore, they must be acquired through diet or supplementation. NSI® Chia Seeds deliver 3,750 mg of omega-3 EFAs per serving. Omega-3 EFAs support cardiovascular wellness by helping maintain healthy cholesterol levels, blood pressure and heartbeat. They also contribute to cognitive, vision and neurological health, and may promote favorable mood. Omega-3 EFAs can be converted into substances that help relieve inflammation (prostaglandins and leukotrines) and as a result, may promote joint flexibility, mobility and comfort. Chia seeds are also abundant in antioxidants, natural compounds that help protect the body from the effects of free radicals, unstable molecules that attack cells. Chia seeds further promote cellular health by keeping cells nourished and hydrated. Rich in protein and dietary fiber, chia seeds support healthy weight management by helping you feel less hungry and more satisfied throughout the day. Protein also helps build and maintain lean muscle mass, and works to sustain energy levels. Chia seeds contain B vitamins, vitamins C and E, as well as minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, boron and iron - important nutrients that contribute to overall health, strength and vitality. NSI® Chia Seeds are better because they: . - Deliver 3,750 mg of omega-3 EFAs in each convenient single-scope serving. . - Also include 1,050 mg of omega-6 EFAs, which work synergistically with the omega-3s to support healthy cardiovascular, vascular and nervous systems . - Provide exceptional quality at extraordinary value. . Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

"After reading about the Omega 3 sources from tainted fish, I read about the Chia seeds and their incredible history and value. I decided on a one month trial and will continue to use them. I just add them to my Protein shake in the morning."

"This is a bad product. Seeds are very bad tasting (like nothing). They get all soggy when soaked in liquid. Not sure why cant get these is powder or capsule form. If have to try, use juice not water."

"Good seeds. This is the type of Chia that works best for me for daily regularity and shakey stomache and a lot cheaper than the equivalent at your local health food store. Two thumbs UP."

I'm quite impressed,April 4, 2009

"I'm happy that it does not have to be ground to use & breaks down so quickly. I was not favorably impressed with the texture of bread, when chia gel was substituted for butter in the recipe, but that's a small thing."

Love Chia Seeds!!,March 24, 2009
By HealthSeyfrom Los Angeles, CA
"These are awesome. Its a good value too. Chia seeds are a great source of protein and are good for detox, as the fiber cleans out your system. I put them in my tea in the morning with cream, and its almost like eating a very watery tapioca."

Fun!,February 16, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Maineville, OH
"I must admit I'm having fun with these chia seeds. I have not experimented too much yet, but my initial taste was great knowing the benefit I was drinking. All I did was mix the whole seeds with water and let it sit. It tastes/feels like "bubble tea". I look forward to trying it in recipes."
