Version 3 of Synergy Basic provides a superior multi-vitamin with more antioxidants for the budget-minded. At a cost of only $15 per month, two capsules per day can help supply your essential daily nutrition. Alpha lipoic acid may also restore glucose availability in tissues such as the skeletal muscle. When vitamin C, vitamin E, CoQ10, or alpha lipoic acid neutralize free radicals, they CoQ10 can recycle inactive vitamin C and vitamin E back to active, protective antioxidants. Furthermore, alpha lipoic acid can also recycle inactive vitamin C, vitamin E, CoQ10 and alpha lipoic acid. become inactive. Synergy Basic has the powerful antioxidant trio of resveratrol (ResveraPure®), grape seed extract (ActiVin®) and red wine extract so as to offer some of the health benefits found in red wine. Thus Synergy Basic has a potent antioxidant network that helps keep antioxidants effectively working against free radicals. Vitamin D3 is important for healthy bones, heart, brain and immune system. Most importantly, optimal intake of vitamin D3 is associated with protection from abnormal cell growth. NSI® scientific advisors recommend an optimal daily intake of approximately 2,000 to 4,000 IU of vitamin D3. Synergy Basic has 2,000 IU of vitamin D3. Synergy Basic has vitamin C (300 mg) using the non-acidic (easy on the stomach) and longer circulating mineral ascobate complex (Advan-C®). It contains the full spectrum of B vitamins including folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 (in the potent neuroactive form of methylcobalamin) which may decrease homocysteine blood levels. Vitamin E (100 IU), selenium (200 mcg L-selenomethionine as SeleniumSeLECT®), and the most active, chelated form of zinc (zinc L-methionine as L-OptiZinc®) (30 mg) may boost the immune system. Zinc and selenium are also essential for promoting a healthy prostate. Lutein is a unique antioxidant that is concentrated in the macula of the retina, where we have our high resolution visual functions, such as reading. Lutein at 6 mg or higher may protect the eyes from free radical damage that leads to vision loss. Synergy Basic includes 6 mg of lutein. The combination of lutein, alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, other antioxidants and zinc may help protect the eyes. "After reading so many positive reviews I was surprised at just how large this pill is. I gag every time I take one. I was also disappointed to have the excessive vitamin-flavored burps. Haven't noticed feeling particularly better or worse. I'll be switching back to the old brand."

"I usually don't notice anything when taking supplements, even new ones i try. I have been taking this for 2 weeks and I actually noticed i felt better after taking this supplement during the first week.
I am very happy with it. I do have to add iron and additional magnesium and calcium, but I will be able to take less pills and save money as these supplements have the ala and green tea and q10 i normally have to buy separately."

"This is an excellent mulri-vitamin choice EXCEPT that it lacks magnesium. Most people's diet is deficient in magnesium, and it is essential to good health. You need to point this out in the description, and recommend that people who buy this product also buy Magnesium Ultra, or a similar product. "I'm glad I discovered this multi. The value is excellent. The things I appreciate about this multi are: excellent level of Vit D, high amount of CoQ10 and Alpha Lipoic Acid, and the high amount of a variety of excellent antioxidants. Since I take these morning and evening, I only have to add a few things at lunch. I like the fact that there are very low levels of calcium and no magnesium. This allows me to add my own amounts and types of these minerals. This multi was developed by someone who understood nutrition and what levels of essential nutrients are needed by most people. An excellent, common sense multi. Would recommend as a foundation to most any supplementation program."

"The only multi-vitamin better than this are Nature's Way Alive and Garden of Life Living Multi but they cost a lot more. It has a strong smell though but that's minor compared to the quality and value of the product. Now if you can make it more compact that you can fit 2 capsules in one to make it a One-a-Day product then that would be FTW!"

"I switched from version 2 to version 3 of the Synergy Basic line in order to get extra vitamin D without having to take an additional suppliment to get 2,000iu. So far, it is very well tolerated. However, I don't know what is causing it but my urine has a strong odor like a skunk. It's only developed since I started taking these multi's. I may have to go back to version 2 and take additional vitamin D. Otherwise, good product with great balance of vits and mins."

"NSI has outdone themselves again. Synergy Basic version 3 contains higher levels of the "super antioxidants" Alpha Lipoic Acid (300 mg), CoQ10 (100 mg) and Green Tea Extract (200 mg) than before.
It also has added Resveratrol, while lowering the amount of Grape Seed extract.
Although the Ginkgo Biloba is gone, this may actually be "addition by subtraction", as the ginkgo may have kept people taking certain medications, such as Coumadin / Warfarin from using Synergy Basic.
Being in the vitamin industry for 15 years, I can honestly say that Synergy Basic version 3 blows away almost every other "basic" multi-vitamin sold in any store or on any other website.
I would love to have sold this product in my vitamin store!"

"when i first started taking vitamins regularly, i searched long and hard to find 1 with mixed tocopheryls for vitamin e. this is a very good value especially when you look at the amounts of magnesium, selenium,chromiun, alpha lipoic acid. grape seed extract,quercetin,coq10. you dont have to buy all those separately. and best of all you only have to swallow 2 capsules a day. not 6 like most similar multi vitamins."
