NSI® Omega Fishies for Kids. Chewable children’s DHA supplement promotes healthy brain development and visual function. Fun-to-take, fish-shaped softgels! Natural fruit punch flavor. How Does NSI® Omega Fishies for Kids work? NSI® Omega Fishies for Kids is an easy-to-take, fruit flavored chewable supplement that provides 200 mg of docosahexaeonic acid (DHA) per each two-softgel serving. DHA is an omega-3 essential fatty acid that’s crucial to optimal brain and visual development throughout infancy and childhood. Naturally found in tissues throughout the body, DHA is a major structural component of cell membranes in the brain and retina of the eye. It’s especially concentrated in the area of the brain responsible for learning, memory and other complex thinking skills, and is a crucial component in the proper function of nerve cells in the eyes. During the first few years of life, the brain undergoes a rapid growth spurt, significantly increasing in mass and DHA content. Between birth and age five, the brain increases approximately 3.5 times in mass, with DHA content increasing up to 450%. To support this period of growth, it’s important that children consume adequate amounts of DHA to ensure that cells in the brain, retina, heart and other parts of the nervous system develop and function properly. . DHA is also a key component of the heart and is recommended by the American Heart Association as one of the omega-3 essential fatty acids that helps support cardiovascular health. DHA may help children maintain healthy cholesterol levels, blood pressure levels and overall blood vessel function. DHA can be obtained from food sources such as oily fish, organ meats and marine algae. Unfortunately, most children do not regularly consume these foods. Parents may also be reluctant to provide children with DHA-rich fresh fish due to potentially harmful levels of mercury and other contaminants. It’s estimated that up to 90% of children do not consume sufficient amounts of omega-3 fatty acids in their daily diets. NSI® Omega Fishies for Kids is an easy, ideal way to supplement your child’s diet with DHA. Naturally fruit flavored, kids will enjoy taking two fish-shaped softgels daily. They’ll receive 200 mg of DHA and 48 mg of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid—another health-promoting omega-3 fatty acid) per serving. NSI® Omega Fishies for Kids features BioPureDHA™, a premium tuna oil sourced from an exclusive fish supply, isolated from traditional fishing areas in zones that are non-industrial (and therefore have fewer pollutants). BioPure™ DHA is manufactured using a proprietary cold-extraction process that creates naturally pure, DHA-rich fish oil. It undergoes special processing to produce mild, deodorized oil that retains a high DHA content. NSI® Omega Fishies for Kids is better because it:. • Provides an ideal 200 mg of pure, potent omega-3 DHA per each two-softgel serving. • Is a great value! One bottle supplies 60 servings—enough to supplement your child’s diet with an optimal amount of DHA for two months. . Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

"The oil inside these little fishes tastes great, the skin is a little tough to chew. My 9 year old just swallows them like a pill, my 7 year old bites them and then spits out the skin, my 3 year old likes to chew them up. No complaints about burbs."

"I just wanted to add my 2 cents in case other mothers out there have children like mine who are wary of putting anything yucky tasting in their mouths and who can't yet swallow a vitamin These are cute enough looking to get a child to pop one in their mouth - I tried it at the same time to show him how "yummy" they are.. But unfortunately I couldn't hide the disgust from my face.. You see these are like vitamin E softgels and not like "gummy vites" like I thought from the free sample packaging.. saying how delicious they are.. I bit down on the gel fishy and EWWW! An explosion of fishy tasting oil filled my mouth. Not sweet or tasty at all. Just fishy. My son had popped his in at the same time and I could tell he bit down on it too because he almost tripped over me to get to the trash can to spit it all out. Needless to say, I don't think this is the way for him to get this supplement, but if your child can swallow pills, this is at least very easy to swallow with some liquid. I wish I had known because I may have been able to use these to teach him how to swallow a pill without chewing. He takes Gummy Vites too though so we both thought they were chewable."

"My 2 and 3 year old will eat these...kind of. They often spit out the gel. My 6 and 8 year old think they taste too fishy. They are a good price and quality is fine but if your kids don't really like a fish taste, they might not go over too well. My kids like salmon and most fish, so go figure."

"These have worked great for my son who has anxiety issues. I read that fish oils are excellent for the brain in dealing w/stress. Fish oils are recommended for good overall health and an good source of "brain food". I have noticed a difference in my son by having more energy, concentration and control over emotions. He even asks to take his fish each morning."

"My child said he had to throw up when he tried this. It is very oily. I now cut it open and put it in his juice in the morning, he still can taste it but is not sure why his juice is different but will at least drink it. When he is done with the juice I have to wash out the cut with soap to get all of the oil out of it."
