"I have struggled with acne for years as a teen and have recently struggled with it as a young adult. I have tried everything from home delivery systems, department store skin care and expensive prescriptions. I tried this just out of curiosity. What else do I have to lose?, I thought to myself. But all I have to say is Oh My Goodness! Awesome! After 3 weeks my skin is sparkly and bump free! I do exfoliate twice a day with a oil-free, soapless cleanser before using the Sulfur soap. "I started using this soap in the middle of August 2009. I had an unmanageable breakout along my jawline and decided to try the sulfur soap. It cleared up my face with only mild redness in about 3 or 4 days. It took approx 6 weeks to clear up my back. I never skip a day and it's kept my skin clear. The smell is not strong and the effectiveness is unmatched for me. And it even removes makeup. I use it every time I shower on my whole body. Love it!"

"I really liked this product at first. During the first couple of weeks of using it, I had no break-outs. It seemed to be very effective. However, after two weeks, it stopped working. Now, my face breaks out just as much as it did before I started using this product. I guess if you wanted to buy a new bar every couple of weeks it might be effective, but that seems like a waste of money."

"I have mild hormonal break-outs and this seems to work at keeping them at bay, as well as brightens and exfoliates. The smell has the mildest possible smell of sulphur. It smells more like the original Ivory soap with an undertone dash of sulphur. After using it a couple of times my skin started peeling, like when you've been in a hot shower too long and when you dry off, you notice flaking skin. I never saw any indication beforehand that it was going to peel such as irritation and flakiness. I have combination sensitive skin and it never makes my face feel dry, even after sudsing for a few minutes. It feels really nice, and again, the peeling of my skin only happens while I'm rinsing, so it leaves a really nice healthy glow."

"I usually buy tea tree oil face wash, which buy the way i love for my acne prone skin. I wanted to try something new and probably effective. This product was far from affective. "I have tried all sorts of facial cleanser: dermalogica, skincueticals, lancome, clinique, etc.
This is by far the best acne soap and cheapest, ever. I used to get under the skin pimples, in fact it would feel "bumpy" to the touch. After having that for about 10 years, this soap finally cleared it up!
I also used Derma-E Lipoic acid and green tea moisturizer.
I'm going to buy a bunch of bars and give them to my friends.
Also, in one of the reviews, someone stated that the sulfur looses potency after a while. I would agree, but you can simply remedy this by cutting the bar in half to get the most use out of it."

"After trying many, many different acne washes, I have finally found an answer to the acne I've had for the last 19 years: Grandpa's Soap with Thylox. It stinks, so be prepared. But, it works, even better than acne face wash and toner put together. I have had medications and medicated lotions/creams that do not work as well as Grandpa's. My acne's finally disappeared. "Very happy with this product. Make sure you read the directions- leave on for about a minute and then rinse off. I noticed my skin/acne was much less red immediately after using this and inflammation went down a lot. Side note- if you have any silver jewelry, don't get this on it. The sulfer and silver have a reaction and it will make it look like your (silver) jewelry went through a fire. Otherwise, this product is great!"
