NSI® 100% Pure Peppermint Oil is a highly-concentrated, undiluted extract that’s steam distilled from leaves of the Mentha piperita (peppermint) plant. The main volatile components of peppermint essential oil are menthol and menthone. Its leaves also contain phenolic consituents including rosmarinic acid and flavonoids such as hesperidin and luteolin. Peppermint essential oil is considered “invigorating, energizing and stimulating.” It’s typically used in aromatherapy to:. Enhance mental clarity and enhanced concentration. Relieve head tension. Relieve congestion . Relieve muscle fatigue and joint pain or stiffness. Promote healthy digestion. Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils extracted from different parts of aromatic plants to support mental and physical health and well-being. Because they’re highly concentrated, essential oils are usually diluted in a carrier oil such as almond, olive, grapeseed or jojoba prior to use. For proper dilution ratios, please consult an aromatherapy book or professional. Aromatherapy practices may include massage, inhalation, full-body bath, hand/foot bath, facial steaming, facial masks, compresses, spritzers, perfume and flavoring. Essential oils may also be used for household purposes such as room fragrance (using diffuser or humidifier), laundry, cleaning, dish washing and more. Essential oils are susceptible to the effects of heat, light, oxygen and moisture. It’s recommended that they be kept away from direct sunlight, at room (or slightly lower than room) temperature. "Great value. I purchased this item, and keep peppermint oil on hand, because it's great to get rid of rodents! It gets rid of mice and squirrels. I even spray the lower portion of my fruit trees and watch the squirrels keep their distance. I also spray the inside corners of my home and the peppermint oil freshens my house."

"Great value!! Long lasting scent. Very refreshing, BUT there is no piece on the bottle that allows the oil to be shaken onto whatever. Instead the oil pours out and no matter how careful we are, it manages to get onto surfaces, our hands, etc."

"i bought this to help my migraines but it did not help, but it is a wonderful to be uses as a wonderful diffuser and is a wonder at others thing use it to anything smell better and it does not take of it.. i would buy it again if only for the wonderful aroma i."

"This is very good peppermint oil, very concentrated. Mix equal amounts of this and camphor oil to relieve the upper back pain with fibromyalgia. Works every time, almost instantly. Only takes 3 to 4 drops, last for 4 to 6 hours. This is similar to the O24 brand formula for fibromyalgia."

"If anyone has a problem with chemicals... perfumes, personal care products, etc when they are out and about, this will definitely help. I put some in a small spray bottle that I carry in my purse and use it to spray around me when someone invades my space with their chemicals. I use this to spray on my clothes and the New Chapter Defense Throat spray in my throat to help keep my airway open til I can get to fresh air."

"We use this a lot in the holidays and will even after the last bulb is packed away it does wonderful in slow warming pots and we even put just a little in the Rainbow Vacuum water and it refreshes the whole house. Enjoy it a little goes a long way!"

"I bought this to add to my shampoo (really wakes you up in the morning) and to add to a facial sauna (steamer). For the sauna, 4 drops was completely overpowering! I emptied it out and added plain water, and the oil still remaining was plenty for a brisk feeling. I was worried this might not be very concentrated because of the price, but that was not my experience at all. Plenty strong. Note that it doesn't have a dropper on the bottle though, so you'd have to have one yourself."

"I bought this on the recommendation of a friend to take the itch out of bug bites... it does that fairly well but what I like better is putting it on top of a candle in a candle warmer and letting the scent float through the house. It's also great on a napkin in the bottom of my trash can... my trash never smelled so good!!"

"I used this in my clothes washer since I have been using a no fragrance brand and my clothes smelled yucky when I take them out of the washer.
I had used another, more expensive brand in peppermint without any problem, but this just doesn't smell as nice to me.

"I mixed this with some grapeseed oil (about 1 part peppermint to 5 parts grapeseed). I keep it in a little bottle and put some on a cotton ball and rub on my forehead when I have a headache. It actually works really well! I've been able to cut back on my use of OTC pain relievers as a result of using the peppermint oil.

As a side note, you can also put full-strength peppermint oil on cotton balls and place them anywhere you see evidence of mice. They do not like the smell and will go elsewhere."
