Color name misleading.
November 6, 2015
"Careful with the color here - the name is misleading. It has too much purple in it to be called "Copper." If you have the color chart insert from one of their products, and that is the color you are aiming for, then the results will match what you want.
If you are going for coverage of gray hair, you will need to mix this with their 4N line for the coverage.
I have chin-length hair, and not much of it, and have found that the two boxes will last me 3-4 uses. I'm still learning how to best use this product to get my desired results, but not having even 1% gray yet, I have noticed that all natural variations in color (natural highlights) are completely obliterated, as you are applying a uniform color throughout your hair. If you are using it as I did, with the 4N: During the initial week or two, the color is extremely dark - at least indoors when looking in a mirror. After two weeks, the color gets lighter... I think it ends up lighter than it was before I initial dyed it. I attempted to solve the issue of the uniform color by applying the 4R product straight as "hilights," mixing what was left with some 4N and working my way down from the part, then applying 4N straight to what was left.
Even without these crazy mixtures, the process of applying the product to one's own hair using the hair-dye brush is time consuming, and takes me 10-15 minutes. Then I'm supposed to leave the product in 40 minutes... is that 40 minutes from when I start or finish applying the product? I'm not sure... Of course I forgot to reread the instructions and this time I left it in for an hour after I finished applying it. As I rinsed the color from my hair, it felt like I'd fried my hair. I applied the conditioner from the box, and after that my hair felt a little healthier. I used the conditioner for the next couple of nights, then another deep conditioner and my hair seems back to its normal silky texture.
Overall, I'm pleased with the product... but be sure to consult a color chart before selecting your color!"

Duration of use:Less than 30 days

"I was not happy with this particular product. Color was a lot more purple than I expected... not natural looking at all. Glad it washed out quickly. However, if you want funky, noticeable color.... it may work for you."
