"I am raw foodist and always looking on great ways to enhance the flavours of my morning smoothie. I found this to be the best stuff I have ever used! It adds great flavour, lots of super foods and the wonderful bonus of hemp powder. It also masks any other super foods I put in it like MSM, spinach, collard etc. I mix it with 1/2 cup water, frozen berries and banana! YUM. I have also put it in my husbands fruit muffins and he loves it!"

"As a fan of the chocolate hemp shake, I gave this version a try. As other reviews state, it leaves you feeling pretty good. However, the taste is a little more natural - kind of earthy and nutty - than the chocolate. I dress it up with some vanilla agave, vanilla almond milk and a scoop of vanilla whey which VASTLY improves the taste. Definitely worth purchasing and trying. Depending on your tastes, you may love it! I love the value and effectiveness, so I will keep using it even though the taste requires some masking."

"I have been using this product for about 3 months. Unexpected side effect: Healthier HAIR!!! Also, it does help to keep you regular! However, I would suggest NOT drinking this shake (nor the other Nutiva shakes) prior to bedtime because it DOES leave you a little buzzed!----definately causes slight insomnia! Also....it still does'nt quite dissolve when simply blended with a spoon...bit lumpy. I wish this product were priced a little less because since I DO use it quite regularly now....it can be a pain in the pockets!"

"If you can get past the taste and texture, then it's a great product. I found that I wasn't hungry for several hours; it was one of those days when I missed lunch and I really didn't feel hungry. BUT I'm glad that I purchased the sample pack, because both I and my husband found it hard to swallow."

"OK, this shake does NOT taste great. I am a person who pretty much likes anything natural and fresh, and even I do not enjoy the taste of this shake. It basically tastes like hemp powder, which, of course, it is. HOWEVER, I still buy this product regularly. Why? Because it is a complete protein and has lots of fiber, low sugar, HUGE amounts of other nutrients, is filling, and MAKES ME FEEL GOOD. This is why I use it, not for the taste; so if you are in it for the nutrition and not the taste, then this product is for you."

"There are only two health shakes I actually notice a positive effect after drinking & this is one of them! Being a veg head and having so many food sensitivities & allergies, it's difficult getting certain goodies in my diet but this product has made it so much easier. Hey, and it tastes great to boot! "This product has a faint berry taste (even after adding 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries). I did not like the texture of the shake. It went down like jello (right before it solidifies). I will definitely have to be "creative" in adding other things to the shake to make it more palatable."

"I was very impressed by the Nutiva Original Flavor Hemp Shake and thought that I would give the other options a try for a twist. This particular flavor, Amazon Acai, failed to deliver. While there was a subtle berry flavor and pleasant sweetness, the shake left a terrible, bitter aftertaste in my mouth that I have not experienced with the Original flavor. Additionally, I was somewhat put-off by the thicker consistency of the shake. One of the characteristics of the Original that I like so much is that it mixes into milk easily with a fork and has a thinner, clean consistency. This formula needs some re-working, it is a big MISS in my book!"
