"This is the best self tanner that I have ever used. It does not have a strong chemical smell, gee, could that be because this product does not have any harsh chemicals? I have used all differednt brands, MK, Nivia, Bannana Boat, lots of smelly lotions. If you rub the cream in like you would any good lotion you will get a nice non-orange golden tan. I have not had any problems with the lotion staining my clothes or sheets. Please be sure and wash your hands after using! Enjoy! I have bought three tubes so far."

"This self-tan lotion made me look a little "orange-y". It left a few streaks too. I used to use Clinique Sunless lotions, but because of the parabens I stopped using it and was looking for an alternative. I will keep shopping for a good one."

"I am a medium skinned caucasian and this product did not change my skin color at all! I applied it 3 seperate times thinking it would build up to a color but there was no change. I called ALBA about it and they sent me a certificate for a free product from their site (up to $15), no questions asked. I was satisfied with the service they provided, but not with this product."

"This product provides natural-looking color with good coverage for me-- a medium skinned caucasian. The color is at least as good as the more synthetic self-tanners I had used in the past. I am slightly disappointed that it doesn't have 100% natural ingredients, but Lavera's does and while about 4x the price, it elicited 0 color change on my skin. However, it IS paraben-free, which is one of the more important aspects. Expect to reapply once/week to maintain color, more often to gradually build it. Full color development after about 3.5 hours for me. Given the price, coverage, and effectiveness this is probably the best value for your money in "natural" self-tanners."

"I like the ingredients of this sunless tanner better than ones from the stores. I wish it was more of a daily moisturizer that builds up over daily use like the one I buy at the store. But I'm buying another tube of this Alba lotion because of better/safer ingredients. I mix in my hand before applying, 1/2 sunless tanning lotion, and 1/2 plain (non-greasy) body lotion (like Kiss My Face A&E lotion) and then I apply, so that helps me rarely mess up. I mainly use on my legs, and sometimes my arms and chest, just to give myself a light tan glow so I'm not so ghostly."

"When I opened this product I first noticed the smell. It was WONDERFUL. I had been using a competitor's brand before and it smelled disgusting. The Alba lotion would have been okay if I wasn't such a ghost.....seriously, you can see every vein/blood vessel in my legs. Anyway, since this one is probably more for the general public and not people with extremely fair skin it made me almost too dark on the first try. I still want a natural element to my skin. Another thing about it not being formulated for fair skin is that it was VERY difficult to get on evenly. It went from my usual fairness to a lovely dark tangerine striped zebra. Anyway, I would recommend this to anyone darker than myself, but certainly NOT to a natural blonde or redhead!"

"I have used many, many sunless tanning products and this one is by far the easiest to apply, has only a faint, pleasant odor, and I was amazed at the results. I had a deep golden tan within 3 hours (I am very fair skinned) that looks completely natural. If it had a color guide it would be perfect as I did mess up in a couple of spots, but overall I'm very happy with the results."

"I love this tanning lotion--it gives an even, natural glow without over-bronzing. A clean, tropical-fruit scent fades quickly and the lotion feels fresh and non-greasy. Due to my extremely sensitive facial skin (rosacea), I don't use this on my face, but it gives my body a wonderful tint."

"I read other reviews of this, and feel like i need to say that i really like this product. For me, the price can't be beat as far as being a low-chemical/natural self-tanner. You can buy less greasy products, but they cost much more. This gives subtle color on first application, but after 2 or 3 times, it's even and looks great. I have very fair skin, and don't find it to affect my facial skin too much, as far as clogging. Plus, most self-tanners have parabens, which have been found in cancerous breast tumors. Enjoy!"
