"I was happy to find this over a year ago. I used alot of Beano as I have to take more than the recommended 2-3 tablets for it to be effective. That became very expensive. This is a great price and worked well. Unfortunately, the tablets are different. They used to be small firm tablets. They are now larger, crumbly, and chalky. The taste is still okay if you are someone who prefers to chew the tablets. Even with cotton stuffed in the bottles, multiple tablets were broken and when I shake a few out of the bottle, I get a chalky palm. I am not sure if I would recommend this to a friend, but the choices were yes/no; no maybe."

"I use Beano all the time so that I can eat onions. Well, Alpha-galactosidase does the same thing, for almost half the cost. The only negative is the taste. Reminds me of Pez candies; overly sweet, with a bit of tartness. You kind of have to gulp it down so it doesn't interfere with the meal. But, hey, if it does the trick...."

"Even milk was NOT listed as an ingredient, there WAS milk in this product.As I am lactose intolerant, I was not happy about the discomfort and embarasment this caused me. "This product supposedly has the same exact ingredient in the same amounts as beano per serving. It seems to work pretty well but honestly I feel the 2 tablet dose suggested on the label is not enough and feel the need to take atleast 3 tablets to get the desired result. Even at three tablets I figure its still cheaper than beano and it does have a good taste were beano taste like chalk. If the two tablet dose seemed enough to me and I didn't feel the need to take more than prescribed this product would have scored 5 stars accross the board but the nice rating i gave is reflective of how highly over all i still like the product."
