Probiotics are friendly bacteria that live in the digestive tract. These microorganisms facilitate the proper digestion and absorption of food. "I am not quite sure what probiotics are supposed to do, but I heard about in on the christian station and it was mentioned in a book I read. I know that antibiotics aren't good for us, and this is supposed to be and will help counteract the antibiotics.
