"This shampoo smells like yummy raspberries. It says it enhances shine, but I have not noticed a difference. It seems to work about as good as any other shampoo, it just smells better."

"Contrary to how the majority of the reviewers feel, I am not a fan of this shampoo. After a few washes, I gave it away. I have curly hair so the “shine enhancing” claim is hard to prove (or disprove), but I didn’t buy it for that. The allure of a “natural” raspberry scented shampoo was just TOO much for me to pass by, but this was disappointing. It left my hair feeling a little stripped. This may work for those with straight hair, but I would offer a word of caution to those with curly, medium to thick hair."

"My wife uses this and really likes it. This shampoo has lots of really good ingredients and does a great job. My only concern is one of the ingredients listed is "fragrance" which could be anything. Since it has a somewhat strong smell, my suspicion is that it's some type of chemical, which I'm not crazy about. That said, considering what was in the shampoo's she was using before, this is a huge improvement."

"I am happy with the product and I really enjoyed the red grape scent - I am not happy about the packaging - for some reason the shampoo does not close easily at all - I have lost some do to this problem. It didn't happen with the other 3 containers."

"I would recommend this shampoo if you have product build-up from moisturizer. If not it has the potential to leave your hair dry. After using this I ALWAYS follow up with a moisturizing shampoo like Giovanni smooth as silk.
But it has no chemicals as oppose to a typical build-up removing shampoo and that is what I like about it!"

"I like the way the Desert Essence shampoos clean and rinse out. They smell great, and leave a nice, light scent behind. This one works well for cleaning my thick, fine hair. The thing that annoys me about all the shampoos is the way they come out of the bottle, though. It's so SLOW! It takes me 20 seconds to get enough shampoo out. Doesn't sound like a long time, until you compare that to 2-3 seconds with other shampoos. I keep almost cracking the plastic bottle trying to squeeze the shampoo out. But that's my only complaint."

"After using for about a month, i am still a little unsure about how well i like this shampoo. As a gluten free product, it is one i would probably buy again if I do not find another that suits me better. Contrary to other users' opinions, i have not seen any shine enhancement, one of the reasons i tried this product. The shampoo dries my hair a little more than i like, which is corrected by applying hair conditioner. The fragrance smells nice, and the product works well enough. Try it if you are looking for a gluten free shampoo."

"The shampoo works ok. It does it's job like any other shampoo is suppose to do. The only real negative I have about this it is the smell (it smells like raspberry flavored medicine). It's too bad the conditioner doesn't work as well."

"Have been through many natural shampoos, and my hair never holds onto the fragrance. I love catching a bit of raspberry throughout the day after using this shampoo and conditioner. Good stuff. I'm going to try the Italian Grape, too."

"This shampoo works! The raspberry smell is amazing- you want to eat it! It makes your hair manageable, shiny and it cleans effectively at the same time. I would recommend it HIGHLY to anybody looking for a great organic product that has no bad stuff and actually works!"
