NSI Vitamin K2 Complex with MK-7 -- 400 mcg - 90 Softgels

NSI Vitamin K2 Complex with MK-7 -- 400 mcg - 90 Softgels

Helps maintain strong, healthy bones. Promotes cardiovascular health by supporting healthy blood vessels. Also supports healthy clotting of blood. How Does NSI® Vitamin K Complex work? Vitamin K refers to a family of fat-soluble compounds known as quinones. Vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) is the natural form, found in green leafy vegetable such as spinach, kale and broccoli, as well as in green peas, carrots, soy beans, eggs, liver and dairy products. Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) is produced by bacteria in both animal and human intestines. Vitamin K’s primary function in the body is to aid in the production of Gla (gamma carboxyglutamic acid) proteins, which play a part in coagulation and anti-coagulation of blood. Gla proteins help blood to clot when a wound occurs, stopping the flow of blood through a damaged vessel. They also inhibit overactive clotting, ensuring that blood continues to flow smoothly once a wound begins to heal. Vitamin K also helps with the maintenance of healthy bones. It’s necessary for osteoblasts (bone-forming cells) to activate osteocalcin, a protein that binds calcium to bones. It may also inhibit the production of osteoclasts, the cells responsible for resorbing, or breaking down, bone. In addition, vitamin K promotes cardiovascular health through its support of healthy blood vessels. Without adequate amounts of vitamin K, inactive osteocalcin may circulate through the bloodstream. Calcium may not be properly delivered to bones, but rather become deposited in arteries, leading to poor artery health. Vitamin K also functions as an antioxidant, working to protect healthy cells from damage caused by free radicals, which are unstable molecules that destroy cell membranes and DNA and may lead to poor health and premature aging. NSI® Vitamin K complex provides optimal amounts of vitamin K including 200 mcg of vitamin K1 and 200 mcg of vitamin K2 (derived from the fermented Japanese soy food, Natto) delivered in a medium-chain triglyceride base. Medium chain triglycerides are essential fatty acids naturally found in milk fat, palm oil and coconut oil that may help with the digestion of fat-soluble vitamins. NSI® Vitamin K Complex is better because it:. • Supports multiple areas of health, including bone health and cardiovascular health, in one easy-to-take supplement. • Delivers optimal amounts of two naturally-occurring forms of vitamin K for maximum health benefits.  . Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

"Good price for it and K-7 is a must vitamin to make your body absorb calcium. I had my thyroid removed this year which means I must take a lot of calcium (hours away from thyroid hormone - Synthroid) because my body no longer produces it. This helps."
