NSI 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil -- 4 fl oz

NSI 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil -- 4 fl oz

NEW! High-quality, 100% natural, pure essential oil for aromatherapy use. Tea tree essential oil is cleansing, purifying and invigorating. Promotes healthy skin, hair and scalp.  May help fight germs and stimulate immune function. How Does NSI® 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil work? NSI® 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil is a highly-concentrated, undiluted extract that’s steam distilled from the leaves of the Australian Melaleuca alternifolia tree. Recognized for its natural antiseptic and antibacterial properties, tea tree oil is often used for cleansing the skin, hair and scalp as well as for addressing various skin irritations. First used by the Australian aborigines in the 1700s to soothe cuts, burns and insect bites, tea tree oil gained popularity in the early 1900s when Australian physicians began using it as a post-surgery skin cleaner and protectant. It quickly became a popular household remedy for skin irritations and was included in first-aid kits for Australian soldiers during World War II. Tea tree oil contains chemicals called terpenoids, which are naturally produced by the plant as a possible defense mechanism against predators. The main active constituent, terpinen-4-ol, appears to be responsible for the antimicrobial activity of tea tree oil. Tea tree essential oil is considered “cleansing, purifying and invigorating.” It’s typically used in aromatherapy to:.  Cleanse and disinfect skin.  Soothe minor skin irritations.  Relieve itching and irritation from insect bites or stings.  Ease sunburn pain.  Deep cleanse/condition hair and stimulate the scalp.  Deter head lice and fleas.  Promote mouth and gum health.  Fight bad breath.  Relieve congestion.  Stimulate immune function. Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils extracted from different parts of aromatic plants to support mental and physical health and well-being. Because they’re highly concentrated, essential oils are usually diluted in a carrier oil such as almond, olive, grapeseed or jojoba prior to use. For proper dilution ratios, please consult an aromatherapy book or professional. Aromatherapy practices may include massage, inhalation, full-body bath, hand/foot bath, facial steaming, facial masks, compresses, spritzers, perfume and flavoring. Essential oils may also be used for household purposes such as room fragrance (using diffuser or humidifier), laundry, cleaning, dish washing and more. Essential oils are susceptible to the effects of heat, light, oxygen and moisture. It’s recommended that they be kept away from direct sunlight, at room (or slightly lower than room) temperature. Be sure bottles are tightly closed after each use. Warning: Do not apply essential oils directly to the skin unless directed to do so by a qualified aromatherapist. Most essential oils are not for internal use. NSI® 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil is better because it:. • Is steam-distilled for purity, quality and safety. • Is a 100% pure essential oil available at a much better value than other similar products on the market.

Do not buy! Worst Tea Tree Oil Ever!, June 14, 2009
By acmd from Louisiana

"I recently ordered NSI 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil -- 4 fl oz, NSI 3006519 because I was amazed by the low price. Unfortunately, when I opened the bottle, it smelled like pure alcohol, nothing like 100% tea tree oil. In addition, it does not have the same consistency or efficacy as tea tree oil— I have used tea tree oil on my skin in the past and I have never been burned by it. When this product was applied to my skin, it immediately burned.

This is not the real deal! Do not buy!"

Go with another brand, November 30, 2008
By CoHuMa from Chicago

"This brand of tea tree oil smells more like alcohol than tea tree oil. In my opinion, Desert Essence brand is a superior product."

GOOD PRODUCT - wide variety of uses, May 26, 2008
By TERESE from USA

"I use to create a natural household cleaner (mix with vinegar/water in spray bottle). Cleans well and leaves fresh smell. Will buy again. I also use as a mouthwash rinse (well diluted). Go on line and earch the beneficial uses for this natural product."
