"This is a great product at a great price. The tablets don't leave a nasty taste in your mouth like some other caffeine products. They also have a "smooth" coating on the pills that allow them to be easily swallowed."

"My main complaints about these are the upset stomach and thirstiness that set in quickly after parachuting one down the hatch.

I feel mentally awake but physically I feel just as tired, if not more tired.

Other than that, all's well."

these pills work great, they last a long time and remind me a lot of "5-hour energy"...but MUCH cheaper!

"I really wanted something to get me away from sugar water everyday. With this pill, I never experience the mid-day crash. I only have one pill when I first wake up and and it carries all day long (depending on what lunch is). There are never any jitters or over hyperness that comes with other products.

I'll have to agree with all the other views expressed by other customers, although I have not tried to break any in half yet."

"Good product, no jitters (I get jitters from Vivarin). Take two in the morning on an empty stomach before a workout and it really doubles intensity. Recommend."

"This is the best value I've seen for caffeine.
I like the tablet form; it is easy to cut the tablet into halves and quarters to adjust the dose. 200 mg is a little high for me, I usually take 50 or 100 mg. Coffee bothers my stomach, and black tea stains my teeth. I once ordered capsules by mistake, and was disappointed not to be able to easily tweak the dose."

"After years of taking other caffeine filled supplements, I decided to try this product. It is very effective when you need a boost. This stuff is a lot cheaper than the supplements I was taking, and much cheaper than those energy drinks. If I am going to be running around all day, I take a few of these with me. About an hour before I exercise, I will take one as well. Great product if you do not need all the other stuff commonly found in energy supplements."

Good Caffine Source - Not quite what I Expected, May 5, 2007

"This is a good, cheap source of Caffeine. It's even cheaper than Vivren, NoDoz or StayAwake.

I expected this to be a liquid-cap or gel-cap since its supposed to be Anhydrous Caffeine, and I was hoping for just a "Pure Caffeine" tablet with no extra starches or additives.

As it turns out, Prolabs Caffine is just a non-coated white pill about the size of a traditional Bayer Aspirin. It's really a combination of Caffeine, Calcium (Dibasic Calcium Phosphate), Stearic Acid, Cellulose Gum, Silica, Magnesium Stearate, Methylcellulose, and Glycerin.

This is a hard, caffeine precipitate pill... but it still works. It has a slightly bitter taste if you were to leave it on your tongue for too long.

I switched to this from a diet/energy pill "Lipo 6". I just wanted the caffeine without the energy. At this price point, this is still a great detail.

I wrote Prolabs to ask if their product really uses Anhydrous Caffeine, or just a calcium-Caffeine precipitate. I haven't heard back.

It doesn't really matter though. It works.

"Here is a plain caffeine supplement that will help with any weight loss or "cutting" program, and with a small price tag to boot. Prolab has taken out the frills and made a quality, straight forward product with the perfect amount of caffeine in each tablet(200mg). Great Spring Break or Summer cut program supplement. Please research caffeine before starting a weight loss program and understand the full effects of this product. Also, it is in your best interest to adhere to all warning labels for this product."
