Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a nutrient that maintains the integrity of cell membranes and youthful synaptic plasticity (meaning it protects cells against age-related deterioration). PS has been shown to be effective at helping to improve memory and neural function. Brain tissues are especially rich in PS, but aging causes a decline in the PS content. In the brain, PS helps maintain cell membrane integrity and youthful synaptic plasticity (protecting brain cells against age-related deterioration.). NSI® PS is the standardized form providing 100 mg of elemental PS with each 500 mg softgel. Non-standardized forms may not provide similar if any benefits. Taking two to three softgels per day will provide the optimal dosage. Also of importance is the fact NSI® exclusively uses plant-sourced PS versus others that may come from bovine brain. Consumption of phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of dementia and cognitive dysfunction in the elderly. Very limited and preliminary scientific research suggests that phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of dementia in the elderly. "The brain is a very 'fatty' organ. In order to operate effeciently it needs to receive nutrients that pass the blood brain barrier. Phosphatidylserine Complex (sometimes called Nero PS for short) does just this. Give it some time - like a month or two before expecting any results. You will be suprised how much sharper your mind is and 'brain fog' becomes a thing of the past! I also noticed that my focus is better. Since I'm an engineer by profession and near age 50 I needed this kind of a benefit. I take 2 in the AM. There is no negative side-effects."

"I got this after hearing that it can reduce cortisol levels after weight training. I take it in a much larger dose than the label recommends and Ive noticed no effect good or bad. Maybe this stuff works on its own but I take a lot of other sports supplements and I just dont notice any effect at all so I wont be purchasing again."

"A chemical scientist suggested I start taking Phosphatidylserine 1000 mg once a day. I have been taking this now for a little over 2 months. I have noticed an improvement in my memory. My overall mood has improved as well. My father has alzheimers so I have done a lot of reasearch on what I can do to put off the risk of getting this illness. I will continue to take the NSI Phosphatidylserine Complex every day."
