NSI Norwegian Cod Liver Oil -- 2,200 mg per serving - 100 Softgels

NSI Norwegian Cod Liver Oil -- 2,200 mg per serving - 100 Softgels

Superior fish oil supplement derived from cold-water-dwelling cod near Norway. Two easy-to-swallow softgels per serving delivers 250 mg of omega-3 DHA and 170 mg of EPA. How Does NSI® Norwegian Cod Liver Oil Work? NSI® Norwegian Cod Liver Oil is a high-quality fish oil supplement featuring oils derived from the livers of fresh cod fish found in cold waters near Norway. Each two-softgel serving provides 170 mg of omega-3 essential fatty acid (EFA) eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 250 mg of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), plus a remarkable 4,000 IU of vitamin A and 500 IU of vitamin D. Omega-3 EFAs are polyunsaturated “good” fats found in oil from cold-water fish (including cod) or in seeds of flax and other plants. They’re classified as “essential” because your body needs them for proper health, yet cannot produce them on it own. They must be obtained through diet or supplementation. A growing number of studies indicate that omega-3 EFAs play a part in cardiovascular wellness. Omega-3 EFAs are believed to help maintain healthy cholesterol levels, blood pressure and heartbeat. They’re also believed to promote healthy blood consistency, which may contribute to healthy circulation. The American Heart Association recommends consuming fatty fish at least twice a week, or that omega-3 EFA’s be obtained through regular supplementation, for heart health protection. Omega-3 EFAs are also known to contribute to neurological, or brain, health. Nearly 60 percent of the human brain is composed of structural fat, a third of which is docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). DHA is essential for the proper growth and development of the infant brain, and appears to affect function throughout one’s lifetime. Research shows that low levels of this important fatty acid are connected to increased incidence of mood, personality and behavioral disorders. Because omega-3 EFA’s can be converted into anti-inflammatory substances (prostaglandins and leukotrines), they’re also believed to provide joint support, promoting flexibility, mobility and potential pain relief. NSI® Norwegian Cod Liver Oil is molecularly distilled, meaning it’s been purified to eliminate any traces of mercury or other potential contaminants. This formula also contains 1,000 IU more than the RDA of vitamin A and almost twice the RDA of vitamin D. NSI® Norwegian Cod Liver Oil is better because it:. Requires only two easy-to-swallow softgels per serving (other brands may require you to take several additional capsules to receive equivalent amounts of EPA and DHA). Has been molecularly distilled to eliminate all traces of mercury and other potential contaminants.  . Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

"Since I can't test the quality, I guess it's probably good. They are gigantic sized and you have to take 2, but that's not a problem."

"I take fish oil b/c I can't always afford to eat as much fish as I'd like. I can't say that I can see any miraculous health benefits from taking it, but I know that it is good for my body so I do it for that reason. I also wanted to mention this fish oil does not make me "burp fish" like others I've tried."

"Good product. I would love to see additional Cod Liver Oil products such as a Cod Liver Oil Plus containing more Vit. D-3, say 1-2000 iu per capsule plus Vit. K-1 and K-2 and maybe 50 mcgs. of Boron. Would be a great bone building supplement."
