"I was rather disappointed when I tried this. It has a very chemically taste and leaves a nasty after taste.
This is not to say 100% Whey is a bad product, I normally get their chocolate which tastes great.
This flavor was a flop though"

"I had a gastric bypass in 2003. Since then I have been through many protein products. Let me tell you, protein powder that is low in carbs and sugar is just plain nasty. There's no other way to say it. I have settled with and have been very satisfied with Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard for a few years, now. I switch flavors every time I buy. The only way I can drink protein is to add it in my morning coffee. Stirs very well with a small whisk. DO NOT put hot liquid and protein in a shaker. It will explode. And don't put a lid on it when it's hot. It will congeal. EW! If you like iced coffee, you can add ice after you mix. It's good this way, too. Give it a try!"

"I think Optimum Nutrition has the best Protein Whey ever based on grams of protein per serving. I don't think I've found the best flavors yet. Delicious Strawberry had little to no taste but mixed with something other than water probably can be a lot better while Cookies 'N Cream had a bad aftertaste with milk & water, but I can stand it better with just water versus Strawberry. But there are a lot of flavors and you can mixed the protein powder with anything you want, but I still think this is the best brand."

"Any Optimum Nutrition protein is great for you. This one tastes "ok" and is not a favorite. I drink 5-6 mini shakes every day (one scoop with 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup milk every 2-3 hours) and I don't carry a shaker cup with me everywhere I go. In fact, I don't even use a blender or shaker for this stuff, I just stir it with a spoon--it mixes completely after about 30-45 seconds of stirring. There's never any clumps or that "pastey" texture. This keeps me at a constant protein intake without filling me up. I got tired of this flavor right away, because there's nothing special about it. I recommend buying two or three different flavors and alternating them to keep from the flavor from getting bland. This definately works though, I've seen a huge improvement in size gain as well as a higher level of energy and stamina."
