NSI Black Currant Oil -- 1,000 mg - 120 Softgels

NSI Black Currant Oil -- 1,000 mg - 120 Softgels

Supplies both omega-3 essential fatty acid alpha linolenic acid (ALA) and omega-6 gamma linoleic acid (GLA). Promotes cardiovascular health. How does NSI® Black Currant Oil work? Blackcurrant oil is extracted from the seeds of the blackcurrant plant, which grows as a shrub with large, maple-like leaves and purplish-black berries throughout the midwest U.S. Blackcurrant oil is a good source of the omega-3 essential fatty acid (EFA) alpha linolenic acid (ALA), and it's also one of nature's richest sources of omega-6 gamma linoleic acid (GLA). GLA is primarily present in plant fats including borage oil, evening primrose oil and blackcurrant oil. EFA's are beneficial for many aspects of health, including cardiovascular, neurological and bone/joint support. GLA is converted in the body to DGLA, which is a precursor in the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are hormone-like compounds involved in a variety of normal body functions such as blood clotting, inflammation, sodium/potassium balance and more. NSI® Black Currant Oil is better because it:. Each softgel delivers 1,000 mg of black currant oil. Supports various areas of health and is beneficial for both men and women, of all ages!  . Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

Miracle Oil, December 9, 2008
By ch805 from Ventura, CA

"For years I have suffered from severe bruising on my forearms due to thin skin. I would get large, reddish-purple bruises from the smallest bumps. After 1 bottle of Black Currant Oil the bruising was noticeably lessened. After several bottles, the bruising is almost non-existent!"

Great 4 The SKIN, July 12, 2008
By MRStefanik from Boston, MA

"I've taken many Omega Supplements in the past - Hemp Seed, Flax Seed, Fish, Krill, Black Currant, etc. I've found that they are all great overall, but each one benefits certain areas more so than others. My favorite combination is Hemp and Black Currant and lots of Sashimi. I tend not to eat a lot of fish oil capsules simply because I consume massive amounts of sashimi so I get enough Omega 3's from that, but I like supplementing to get my veggie oils. Black Currant specifically is very good for my skin, it has more of a profound effect than the others, but I recommend (if you can afford it) a combo of different oils. Everyone's body is different so listen to your body and see how it responds."

"I'm supposed to take fish oil 3x daily.. but I needed a viable source that I could pack with my lunch. I read that black curent oil was a excellent alternative, but found it to be expensive.

my web search lead me to vitacost! this is a great value!

"I have had dry eyes since LASIK surgery five years ago. I've tried everything for relief from eyedrops to dietary supplements. As a physician, I look for evidence-based approaches to remedies. One product had GLA derived from black currant oil and this had some positive benefit. I tried black currant oil supplements from another "natural product" vendor and it was disappointing. Then I tried NSI black currant oil and to my surprise, I experienced tremendous positive benefits. This stuff is amazing. My eyes have improved so much that I rarely need drops any more. I can only guess that NSI's oil is more pure and concentrated, and truly from the black currant fruit/seed. If you suffer from dry eyes, you owe it to yourself to try this supplement."

"I love black currant oil though until I found this marvelous product, my purchase as limited to a couple times a year. This is a great price on a fantastic oil! It is wonderful for healthy, shiny skin and I love it in my soap, too. I take only 1 a day and get fabulous benefits. Try some today; your skin will thank you."
