Nutraceutical Sciences Institute (NSI) KriaXanthin Antarctic Krill Oil with Natural Astaxanthin -- 1000 mg - 60 Softgels

Nutraceutical Sciences Institute (NSI) KriaXanthin Antarctic Krill Oil with Natural Astaxanthin -- 1000 mg - 60 Softgels

Excellent source of omega-3 essential fatty acids EPA and DHA! Loaded with antioxidant power. Provides free radical protection in addition to omega-3 benefits! How Does NSI® KriaXanthin™ Antarctic Krill Oil with Natural Astaxanthin work? NSI® Antarctic Krill Oil contains 100% natural extract of krill harvested from cold Antarctic waters. Krill are small, shrimp-like, ocean-dwelling crustaceans that feed on microscopic phytoplankton and serve as food themselves for larger sea creatures, including whales, sharks and seals. Krill oil contains omega-3 essential fatty acids (EFAs) eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). It's also rich in vitamin E and A, and functions as a powerful antioxidant. Omega-3 EFAs are increasingly recognized for their many health-promoting benefits, including cardiovascular, neurological, bone and joint, vision, skin health and more. Supplementing with EFAs may support the following areas of health:. Cardiovascular. Promotes healthy cholesterol levels. Helps to reduce blood "stickiness" for better flow and pressure. Contributes to reduced triglyceride levels Neurological. Supports positive mood. May support enhanced concentration and memory, in children and adults Bone and Joint. Helps support joint flexibility and mobility. Promotes less stiffness, swelling and tenderness in joints Other. May support immune system function. Supports visual health. Promotes healthy respiratory function In addition to EPA, DHA and vitamins A and E, NSI® KriaXanthin™ Antarctic Krill Oil contains astaxanthin, which is a fat-soluble carotenoid that functions as a powerful antioxidant. Astaxanthin is the most commonly-occurring red carotenoid in marine and aquatic animals, responsible for creating the characteristic pink color in salmon and rainbow trout, when present at sufficient levels. Astaxanthin, like vitamin E, works to scavenge free radicals. Free radicals are unstable compounds that result from normal body processes, such as digestion and exercise, but are also generated by exposure to UV sunlight, pollution, smoke and other toxins in the environment. NSI® KriaXanthin™ Antarctic Krill Oil is all-natural and contains oil extracted from krill harvested from Antarctic waters, free of heavy metals and other contaminants. It's produced with a unique, cold-vacuum-pressing process, without the presence of solvents, resulting in a superior-quality, highly stable oil. NSI® KriaXanthin™ Antarctic Krill Oil with Natural Astaxanthin is better because it:. Is 100% natural and cold-vacuum pressed for ultimate freshness and stability. Provides both omega-3 EFAs and antioxidants for total-body health support. Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

"Our entire family is taking and experiencing the benefits of krill oil. Our oldest grandson, 14, is autistic, and we have noticed an improvement in his overall well-being.
For those concerned about the depletion of krill, please read the comment below:

Krill are a plentiful ocean resource. Less than 1% of the ocean’s 600 million tons of krill is harvested annually. This ensures an abundant, sustainable krill population. This is a plus because many people are shying away from fish oil supplements due to the concerns over depleted fish populations across the globe. J.D. Bell

"This is a fine product, and supposedly krill is a superior fish for oil--plus it includes astaxanthin, another great product; however, it is my understanding that krill has been overfished, and may be in danger.
You may want to do a little research on Krill before you purchase this product.

"I am writing this after only a few days of use and I am disappointed that the recommended 2 softgel dose consistently causes fishy burping. I have used tablespoon doses of Carlson fish oil without this problem, so it is not that I am particularly sensitive.

I don't know if this problem is due to NSI's process of is just a liability of krill oil in general. I am, however, disappointed.
