Promotes enhanced energy and reduced fatigue! Helps restore healthy amino acid levels after intense workouts. How do BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) work? BCAAs, or branched chain amino acids, are essential amino acids, meaning the body cannot produce them on its own, but must rather obtain them through diet or supplementation. Amino acids play a part in muscle growth and recuperation, hormone production, weight management and many other important bodily functions. BCAAs, named for their unique branched chemical structure, may prevent muscle catabolism and promote protein synthesis during intense exercises. BCAAs may be beneficial to athletes because intense exercise may lead the body to utilize energy stores to spare muscles from catabolizing (breaking down). Supplementation helps restore normal levels, optimizing the recovery process and helping reduce feelings of fatigue. NSI® BCAAs are better because they:. Contains optimal levels of three essential branched chain amino acids. Is in powder form, so it is quickly and readily absorbed. . Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

"The taste is bad but with some crystal light it is drinkable. About the problem with mixing with water. I take all the bcaa powder out of the jar in another containter, re- mix it well and put it back. Somehow that improves it, don't know why."

"I know the benefits of BCAA's but now realize why most people consume them via pill. There is nothing on this planet that would mix the powder with any known liquid.
I mixed in a blender with my protein shake for 10 minutes on its highest setting....still granular and nasty."

"I'm not usually at tast whimp but my goodness, this stuff is horrid. I am going to choke down this batch and then it's BCAAs in capsule form for me from here on out. I just can't stomach the taste of this.
I got it to have in water before my AM cardio. I have to hold my nose to drink it down not to mention the fact that it's next to impossible to mix this stuff up. I let it sit and sit and sit and it does not desolve.
Good for you if you can take this because I think it is an effective product. However I will have to find another way to get my BCAAs."

"I could not bear the taste of this BCAA powder. It was nasty. I mixed it with my usual whey protein mix and all. After tasting it and being unable to bare the taste I added some stevia to it to maybe help the taste, but even after adding two servings of stevia the tast was still unbareable.
NSI's glutamine powder is great, but their BCAA powder definately needs more work. Maybe the problem is the silicon dioxide that they add to it. I am not sure, but it did not meet my expectations in comparison to their glutamine powder and their whey protein mix."

"This is a great value for a high quality BCAA product. For those who complain that it doesn't blend, it blends no differently than any other high quality amino acid product. That is just the way amino powders are. I love using this during my workout. I put a scoop in a "bike" water bottle and mix it with a Propel powder. Tastes great, and like all amino products, within about 10 minutes, it is completely dissolved. I absolutely love the NSI brand sport supplements. I will never waste my money on "name brands" again. NSI has superior quality at a fraction of the price."

"BCAAs are like a commodity, like buying sugar, or flour. You don't say, this sugar is better than another brand, its pretty much all the same, assuming its pure. Given that, this a good price for a good ingredient. Sure it tastes bad, is very hard to mix, but that's how pure BCAAs are. You can spend a lot more for this stuff elsewhere. Want it to taste good and mix easier? Buy an expensive souped-up version from a sports supplement brand."

"This item has a horrendous taste if added to water only. I add it to 4 oz of a sports drink, and leave it in the fridge for 12-24 hours, and by then it has dissolved, and the taste is disguised. I take it about 15 minutes before a workout, and it has definitely kept me "fueled" during a heavy lifting session, or during a pre-breakfast run. I have not tried mixing with a protein powder, but I think it would mix better than it does alone. I don't know if the effectiveness is changed when it sits for >12 hrs, but it is the only way I can take it."

"This stuff needs to be instantized. It doesn't dissolve in water, not even in hot water. That means your body won't absorb it. NSI should not sacrifice quality for a cheaper price. I'd rather pay more and have an instantized formula, similar to optimum nutrition's BCAA powder, which is not sold on this site, unfortunately."

"This product, despite its great value, is not easy to mix in any liquid. The powder aggregates and does not dissociate well no matter how vigorous you shake it. However, if you can successfully mix it or you can choke it down, it works really well. I usually mix it in my NO-Xplode and I am rarely sore after a heavy workout. It works even better if supplemented with L-Glutamine as well."
