"PSA went from 3.5 to 5.5 in 6 months. Dr. advised 750mg per day of beta-sitosterol, which he takes himself. In 6 months PSA was lowered to 4.0, which is within normal limits. No noticeable side effects. Also had digital exam which showed no problems. I will continue to take this product. I am 63 years old."

"Took primarily for enlarged prostate. No way in two months to evaluate the effectiveness. However, The tablets are too large to swallow comfortably and could use a coating that lubricates better with water. This overrides any positive results one might ever attain."

"I believe this product is an excellent value. The size of the tablet is no bigger than many multi-mineral tablets and I have not found them hard to swallow. As far as I am concerned it is a good product at a very good price."

"Too soon to tell if it works. My only complaint is that the pills are large, dry and impossible to swallow.The addition of a slick coating might help. I never could get a whole one down, so I chop one pill into eight pieces and take four of the pieces twice a day."

Can't swallow easily, September 14, 2008

"The pill does what I want it to do but it is almost impossible to swallow. I have an obstruction in my esophagus and the size, dryness and shape of the pill causes it to catch everytime I try to swallow. I continue to drink water but it dopesn't do much. I have to eat some food to finally get it to dislodge and go to my stomach.
I would like to return and get a smaller capsule that I can swallow.

"Don't know if these are working yet or not. I would advise people who do not swallow very well not to buy these as they are quite large and not coated (porous - might stick in your throat). I like the NSI brands but don't think I would buy this again just because of the size of the pill. You could (possibly) break it in half and swallow it that way."
