Minimal Mercury. Troll Caught Laboratory testing shows a correlation between the size and age of fish and their mercury content. This can contains only 3-year old fish (9 to 12lbs.) We have separated the youngest fish from the rest of the catch to produce the safest albacore tuna possible.

"research showed me this was going to be a low mercury solution for my love of canned tuna but i didn't expect the taste and texture to be so good. best tuna we have every tried. more expensive than store brands by a lick but worth it if you value taste and safety. great way to get omega 3's without the heavy metal exposure."

"I had given up on buying other brands of tuna because of their high mercury content. I have had to have chelation 2x so far because of heavy metals in my system...mercury being the worst. Then I read about Wild Planet's tuna having very low mercury content and other info here on Vitacost's website and figured I would give it a try. SO GLAD I DID! "I first bought this tuna because of the lower mercury content. After trying it, I find that I don't want any other kind of canned tuna. When you first open a can, you notice that it looks, smells and tastes much fresher than other brands. The flavor is wonderful and not too salty. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!"
