NSI Evening Primrose Oil -- 500 mg - 300 Softgels

NSI Evening Primrose Oil -- 500 mg - 300 Softgels

Supports decreased inflammation and helps your metabolism. Available in either 500 mg or 1,300 mg. How does Evening Primrose Oil work? Evening Primrose Oil is derived from the seeds of the North American Evening Primrose plant, a perennial found in North America. Many Native American tribes used the plant as a source of food. The evening primrose plant contains an essential fatty acid called gamma linolenic acid (GLA). The body does not produce essential fatty acids so they must be ingested through food and supplementation. GLA is rich in PGE1 prostaglandins—these promote healthy skin and overall hormone balance as well as a healthy cardiovascular system and reduced inflammation in the body. NSI Evening Primrose Oil is better because it:. Is expeller-pressed, ensuring you a pure, hexane-free formula. Costs less than major brands, yet gives you with the maximum potency. Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

What was I thinking?, October 23, 2009
By jlynn from Cincinnati

"I took evening primrose oil faithfully for many years. At one point, I ran out and didn't reorder. Over the next year, my nails ALL broke off and refused to grow back. I lost so much hair I had to buy a wig. I still didn't make the connection to the EPO. I decided on a whim to start taking it again. It's only been a few weeks now, and my hair is filling in nicely, my nails have stopped splitting and cracking; I'm so relieved. I'll never "forget" to reorder again."

Doesn't work for me, May 4, 2009
By housemaid

"EPO is one supplement I take where I can actually see the difference immediately. It causes my fingernails to become hard and minor facial wrinkles to appear smooth within a couple of hours, but must be taken twice a day to maintain this. It is also known medically for making saliva thinner, so I think it improves the skin and nails by increasing hydration. Howver, this particular brand doesn't work, while every other brand I have tried does work, such as the Royal Brittany sold here."

"I didn't even know what Evening Primrose Oil was, when the Dr told me to buy some. It took a while to help but now I take it all the time. At least until he tells me to stop. I would suggest asking your Dr if it will help you."

Again, Vitacost, best price and quality, January 15, 2008
By Peaceful from The Villages, FL

"Evening Primrose Oil is recommended by Dr. Andrew Weil, especially for women in menopause, to help with hot flashes, stronger nails and less hair loss. I take this faithfully every morning and evening. Have found an improvement in my nails not breaking as easily, and now at menopause my hair seems thicker than ever. While I am mystified, I am very pleased and will continue to take this for the rest of my life. The price makes it affordable for all women."

"This product is way too low in the most important
element in evening primrose oil - GLA. Most other
cold pressed evening primrose products 1200 to 1350 MG contain around 120 MG or so of GLA. One
example would be Source Naturals 1350 MG contains 120 MGs of GLA per capsule and is close
to this one in price range, however it is not the only one.
My advise, is check it out for yourself.

"I heard that taking Evening Primrose Oil 1,000 mg. along with 1,000 mg. of Flaxseed Oil per day could help relieve hot flashes. I have been taking this combination now for a year and it has lowered the tolerance level and frequency of the hot flashes. Plus, I receive other benefits that both offer."
