NSI DHA EFA from Fish Oil -- 240 Softgels

DHA supports healthy heart and brain function, as well as fetal and infant brain development. Highly Concentrated EPA and DHA  . Nutraceutical Sciences Institute offers the largest selection of pure and great tasting omega oils and softgels - Pharmaceutical Grade - Molecularly Distilled with high elemental levels of Omega-3 EPA & DHA, and are purified through molecular distillation to ensure the absence of impurities, including PCBs and heavy metals. All Nutraceutical Sciences Institute products surpass all national and international pharmaceutical standards for freshness and purity, and are free from heavy metals, dioxins, and PCBs. Every batch is lab tested to guarantee exceptional freshness and purity levels. . Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an omega-3 essential fatty acid (EFA), is a vital nutrient shown to have remarkable health benefits for the brain and heart. DHA has also been shown to offer essential benefits for fetal development and infant health. In addition, it has been shown to support eye health. NSI DHA formula contains both DHA and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), which are crucial for cardiovascular and circulatory health. Many studies have also shown DHA to effectively reduce blood triglyceride levels, high levels of which have been linked with heart disease. DHA provides neurological benefits, as well. Over 60% of the brain is composed of fat, with DHA being a principle component. Therefore, adequate levels of DHA are necessary for optimal brain function. In addition, many studies have been conducted showing that low levels of DHA may be linked to psychological disorders, including depression. DHA has also shown visual benefits, as it is the major fat in retinal tissue and also benefits the retina's cells. DHA appears to offer essential health benefits for fetal and infant health, as it has been found to support fetal and infant brain and eye development. DHA has also been shown to be effective at preventing premature birth. With the concern over contaminated fish supplies, pregnant and nursing women have been advised to limit their fish intake. However, NSI DHA is a safe and convenient way for pregnant and nursing women to get these essential fatty acids into their diet. Like all NSI EFA supplements, NSI DHA is carefully formulated using fresh, deep sea, cold water fish body oils, not fish liver oils. These fish oils undergo a process of molecular distillation, which ensures a high level of concentration and product purity. NSI DHA softgels are small, easy to swallow, and have a pleasant strawberry essence. Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

"I love this product! Ive been doing fish oils for 20 years and this fish oil rocks! I would never purchase NORTIC NATURALS again.Nortic Natural prices are sky high crazy. NSI fish oil is as good as any other fish oil out there and you can't beat the price, and you don't feel like your being taking advantage of $$$$ !!!

"The NSI DHA has recently changed the look of the bottle. I have not gotten the previous version but the new one has a reduced amount of DHA (520mg) and EPA (40mg) than what is advertised on the website (DHA 550 mg, EPA 50mg).

Also, upon opening the bottle it has a very strong fish smell. As expected, there is also fish taste when I burped - none of that pleasant strawberry essence as advertised.
I like the Kirkland fish oil much better.

"The NSI DHA EFA from fish oil is the most concentrated and effective DHA source I have found for the money. I have compared it to some pretty pricey fish oils and found it works great and at the Vitacost price it can't be beat."

"I've tried many fish oil products & was always unhappy with burping up fish taste all day. This is the best "tasting" fish oil I've found. There is still more burping than I'd like, but it's more acceptable than other brands."
