"I have gone through countless bottles of this shampoo, and I am drawn to it because I find it cleanses well, appearing to remove residue from other hair products. I had a problem with my son's hair in that nothing seemed to cleanse his oily hair, but this does . . . and at the same time, I can use it with dry hair, and it seems to somehow work for the both of us without buying two different shampoos. I highly recommend it, especially if you want to avoid all the horrible chemicals in other, typical shampoos."

"I have been a constant user of this product for over a year now and absolutely loved it. However, I recently bought two new bottles and both were awful. The smell was different, it lathered different, and while I could live with that I could not live with the fact that not only did it leave hair not feeling clean, my hair did not enjoy the ususal fullness this product once gave but left it flat and lifeless. I thought maybe something was wrong with the one bottle so I put a bottle I just bought out which my son used this morning. After he was done in the shower he said to me "what's up with that shampoo?" I asked him what he meant and he said my hair feels awful--it doesn't even feel like I washed it. I did just send the company an email letting them know my dissatisfaction as I had not found another natural product that I could buy in a store that was reasonably priced and that was as good as this shampoo once was. I will be curious what they have to say and hope they do respond. I have never written a product review before but given I am now out the cost of two bottles of shampoo I have thrown out I did not want anyone else have happen to them what happened to me."

"I selected Shikai shampoo because it is made from natural ingredients and used by ayurvedic practitioners. I chose the volumizing variety because I have fine hair plus I am a daily shampooer. I find Shikai volumizing shampoo does not dry out or leave a residue on my hair, does not take out the natural curl nor friz my hair, that I only need to use a small amount to get a good lather and cleansing, and that the 12 ounce bottle lasts me a long time. It also smells very natural and nice."

"I really like this product. I have very fine and very thing hair and have tried many products. When using this as the "finishing" shampoo (first wash with another, then this) my hair felt and looked great. It's soft yet seems to have considerable body to it. I intend to continue to purchase this product"

"Nothing about this shampoo impressed me. It's a good price for what you get, but it doesn't smell really good, or do anything special for my hair. If you just want a natural, inexpensive shampoo that cleans your hair well, this one's for you."
