"I am a 42 year old teacher. I have had larger pores and black heads, since adolescence, with occasional acne like bumps. I have never felt like I could go without foundation because of the blackheads. I began using pore strips on my nose and chin which made the open pores VERY large and nothing helped. I've tried every thing from expensive masks to witch hazel. This product is the only thing that has made a difference. I have been using Burt’s Bees Soap Garden Tomato Complexion -- 4 oz, along with their Tomato Toner for about a month now. The only care that I have taken of the soap is to put it on a soap dish, and keep it out of the shower. I have used ½ of the toner, but the bar of soap is almost the same size as when I first opened it. I LOVE it. I could tell a difference from the very first use. I can't say that I have no blackheads at all, but they are significantly reduced and my pores are almost invisible. I mentioned that I am 42 for another reason. I have developed not so fine lines in the last few years. I haven’t been using the acne medication I used as a teen, because it dried my face out too much, and made the lines more pronounced. This product is wonderful. I use it morning and night, with no dryness at all. I do use a scrub about once every two weeks for exfoliation, but I'm not sure if I need it, or just can't give up the ritual. My sister bought the combination of the two, as well. She and my 7th grade niece love it, too. They love the smell (kind of like a tomato still on the vine) and say that nothing makes their faces feel cleaner. My sister and I both have severe allergies and the smell bothers neither one of us."

"Some of the reviews I had read seemed to imply this was a miracle product for acne-prone skin. I have used many products with no result, and I'm afraid that this was no different. It does a good job of cleaning my face, and it seems to have a drying effect, but after using it for several weeks I have noticed no change in the blackheads, breakouts or mild acne in general that I have had my whole adult life. I won't order it again."

"I use this with the toner along with other brands/products. I like this soap a lot and I feel that it might be helping my breakouts a bit, but I must say I use it in addition to other cleansers as I feel that this alone do not have enough cleansing power to really get dirt and makeup off of my skin. I also find that this soap is really low lathering... I use it in the shower but it's really hard to get the lather going especially with water running near and around your hands.
having said that, I love the feel of the skin after using this product line and I love the smell... almost perfumy, like unisex kinds like CK1. I therefore would recommend this to male customers too."

"The scent of this soap is overwhelming. It filled our bathroom and lingered on my husband, not in a pleasant way. I know this is all-natural, but the strength of scent is suspicious. Didn't do anything special for husband's oily skin."

"I've been buying Burt's Bees Garden Tomato soap for the past couple of years now, and it's the only thing I have ever found that works so well on my face. No Joke! I had the worst acne before I started using this product. I tried everything on the market and my Dr. even prescribed me acutane for 8 months, but nothing worked until this. It's the best thing ever. The only thing is that you need to use a daily moisturizer because it dries out your skin if used alone. Burt's Bees orange face wash works well in conjuntion with this. Enjoy!"

"I had used MANY over the counter products as well as prescription products, and NOTHING compares to this soap!!! If only I would have found this in high school. I am 30 years old and still dealing with acne until I used this face wash...I can even go to bed with my make-up on when I am tired and my face never breaks out! If I do get a break out, it is only a mere bump and the next day it is gone! I used to constantly pick at my face, and for once in my life I have nothing to pick at!! I will never use another face wash again!! I also use the tomato garden toner with it, and love them both. I finally am not embarrassed to go out in public."

"This face soap is great, especially for problem skin. However, even after washing with it, it seems like a lot of dirt comes off onto the cotton pad when I use the Garden Tomato astringent. But overall, my skin is doing better and it's not drying out."

"I really love this no frills bar soap cleanser! "I really love this soap. I have been having trouble with acne breakouts (at age 40..yuck!) and this soap has really helped to clear up my skin. "Generally I prefer not to use bar cleansers, but I really wanted to try this. I definitely notice after using it that my face feels cleansed of oil, but it actually isn't clean though.
