"Deceptive in it's name...cod liver oil? Euuuu! Must be gross! But in fact, the lemon flavor is surprisingly good. So good in fact, that I put a teaspoon into my kids other juices to make "lemonade" juice and they beg me for it. I also mix it into my kefir in the morning or into my tomato juice in the afternoon....both of which they also beg me for and consume. Yes, 5 and 2 1/2 year old kids willingly consuming cod liver oil. If they will eat it, how bad can it be?"

"I have been fiddling around with the cap on this bottle for days....finally ripped off the metal strip and pushed...it opened. I must be slow or something; I thought it was a screw- off top. I wasn't too anxious to get to the contents anyway but, I just swallowed a tablespoon full and, hey, it's okay. Went right down and no gagging and sputtering involved. Just don't sniff the bottle first, it has a slight cod liver oil smell....spoon it out and down it goes. Had to take cod liver oil caps as a kid and I hated that stuff, but this lemon flavor does the trick. Am going to try it in tomato juice tomorrow."

Very effective, October 15, 2009
By 3226COL from Oregon

"The Carlson's Fish Oil has made a huge difference in our joint pain. We rarely need to take the ibuprofen that was so necessary before. Joint pain is 95% better. Low back pain is also improved - maybe 60% better. We take about 1 tablespoon each morning."

"If I ever got the sniffles as a kid, mom would give me cod liver oil, put me under a steam tent to breathe vapors, and give me an enema! I intend to continue taking the cod liver oil but will have to take the other 2 under advisement (altho I truly believe 'mom's medicine' was better than the drugs everyone is so quick to take today)"

"Since I was a kid, I'd cringe at the thought of having Cod Liver oil in my mouth after the first dose, which I simply could not swallow. I tried it after reading reviews of the lemon taste. I don't mix it, just take it straight. I swallowed without gagging. Now it's time to reorder."

Love it, September 22, 2009

"I started taking flax oil to help with my dry eye... or more the quality of my tears. It helped a lot. Earlier this year I ran across this brand of Cod Liver Oil and gave it a chance. Together with the flax oil and Cod Liver Oil, my dry eye symptoms have reduced tremendously. I used to take eye drops for moistening every night and often during the day. Now it is rare that I need them, mostly during dry weather when the humidity is very very low.

What I like about this Cod Liver Oil is it is not gross. I barely tolerate taking the flax oil by spoon, but this Cod oil is nice. The lemon flavor isn't bad and it feels nice in the stomach. I take one spoonful nightly before dinner. I take the flax oil in the morning.

If you are a little curious, just try it. You'll like it :-)

"for a fish oil, or cod liver oil, the lemon added really takes the fishness flavor out and replaces it with a neutral flavor. Excellent for people who dislike that fish flavor."
