"A patient came in raving about Carlson’s Fish Oil. Although I knew fish oil was supposed to be great for me; every time I had tried it, the results were dreadful. About once or twice a month, I’d belch up something that tasted like it had been laying on the beech for about a week. I declined his offer and explained my reasons.
He explained that Carlson’s was made in Norway, tested for heavy metals, and packed in nitrogen to preserve freshness. It was also lace with a nice citrus flavor. After he brought in color brochures on it and even more enthusiasm, I decided to give it a try.
It really is good. The flavor is remarkably easy to take, and I learned that if fish oil tastes or smells like fish; don’t take it. Fish oil, like fish, only smells bad if it’s rancid. It needs to be refrigerated after opening, and one teaspoon has over 1000 mg of omega three essential fatty acids. It’s a worthwhile buy. If my patients take the Cod Liver Oil, I advise them to take 2000 IU or so of vitamin D 3 to balance out the extra vitamin A they get."

"After reviewing quantities of EPA and DHA in gel cap fish oils I decided to choose a liquid variety.
Very surprising to find it has no after taste; lemon flavor is great and is lighter than one would imagine.
I have recommended it to friends and patients."
