"I began using this following surgery for colon cancer in 2000 after finding a book at Whole Foods of mostly anecdotal data regarding the original product (Essiac) from which Flor-Essence evolved. Flor-Essence (Essiac) has a really interesting history, and I would suggest that anyone research that history just a bit in order to make the most effective use of the tea and related products. I use both the prepared (here reviewed) and the packaged dry product (tea) which does involve some preparation time and equipment (sterilized bottles and appropriate pot to make the tea). I use this as a kind of "insurance" and have talked to other people who use it just as a kind of "tonic" with self reported very positive results. I always use Flor-Essence instead of other essiac products because it is the only product approved by the original company that developed essiac in Canada."
