"This product is unbelievable. The taste is excellent and the result is really very good, it gives me more energy in playing 18 holes of golf, tennis or mountain biking. Since using it, I've never encounter cramps or muscle spasms. I mixed it with soy vanilla milk, banana and blue berries."

Not what they said it would be,
June 26, 2009

"For the last 5 years a staple protein shake I have used following bypass surgery has been the Champion Pure Whey Stack in Chocolate. I read a review by one of the customers here who had used it, and thought Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey Protein Double Rich Chocolate was tastier, and had a richer chocolate flavor. With this in mind I thought I would give it a try. While it does have more of a dark cocoa flavor, it also lacks in sweetness and texture. It tends to be chalky, and if used by itself, Splenda is a must. What I have done ( as I hate buying a huge tub of protein and having it go to waste) is mix one scoop of the Optimum and one scoop of the Champion Pure Whey. Taken together, the taste of the Optimum is tolerable with much shaking. If using in a blender with flavored syrups, this may be doable. Standing alone, it was a disappointment. I am back to order my usual Champion, which shakes up easily with water and tastes like chocolate milk. It has no aspertame or sucralose, but a low amount of frutctose. Each serving has 2gms of sugar. I tried the Optimum, but it doesn't meet my standards of taste."

Bad Taste mixed with water/milk,

"This is a good product for what's inside it but this product does not taste good at all mixed with water or milk. I would not recommend this product if you mix with water or milk. It would probably work fine with shakes!"

"My son has been drinking protein shakes over the last 3 years after weight training. He really likes the taste and texture of this drink mix. Smooth and less expensive than other mixes he has tried. Also less troublesome for his stomach. Will continue to buy this!!!"

Best ON Whey out there.,
April 11, 2009
By Circa67

"My god I am so glad I bought this product. It taste so good and it has 24g of protein! I occasionally drink it in the morning. 1 cup of soymilk and 1 scoop of whey. It taste just like chocolate milk! I drink this pre work out. 8oz of water and 1 scoop of the whey. I also drink a protein shake about 30-45 minutes after my work out.
1)Cut a banana in pieces and put them at the bottom. 2)Ice cubes, like 8-12 depending on the size. 3)2 scoops of double rich chocolate. 4)Milk. I prefer Soy Milk. It has some good fats and is better. 12 oz are more than ok.
Shake it until its ok. I'm not gonna confuse you saying "30 seconds" because some blenders do in 5 seconds what others do in like almost a minute.
Protein: 60-65 grams (almost 50 coming from the powder and more than 10 from the milk) Calories: About 500 (The soy milk I drink has 100 calories per each 8oz glass, again look at the nutrition facts of your milk) Calories from fat: About 60 (Half of them coming from good fats due to the soy milk)."

Taste is satisfactory,

By Shymom101

"This product is what is advertised. It tastes good and mixes easily. It does have a little aftertaste and leaves a bit of a film on your mouth. I bought it because I wanted something that did not have sucralose or aspertame in it. I cannot speak for the effectiveness yet too soon. I would purchase again."

"I purchased this item based on other people's review. This product works great for me. As a recovery drink, I just use fat free milk (lactose free) plus part water and it tastes great. It did not give me any stomach ache. It taste really good too in making a shake for breakfast."

A good product, wish it were more chocolately.,
April 4, 2009
By MailesMom

"I've never purchased a whey protein product before so I have no basis for comparison. However, if you're expecting a distinct chocolate milk taste, it'll take getting used to because it's not real sweet or very chocolately. I've been using this for about a week as a post-workout supplement and have since gotten used to the mild taste. For a single serving I only use a 1/2 cup nonfat milk and 2/3 cups of ice, blended. Added fruit definitely makes for a tasty drink. Try it in cooked cereals like oatmeal or Cream of Rice for a tasty protein boost. I've shopped around and this is a decent value for the price."

By TheBadger

"I like this protien a lot, mixes easier than any other protien I have tried. No extra sugars and stuff. It mixes like Ovalteen, it leaves a small skim of non mixing protien on top but nothign too bad. That is just mixing with a spoon and skim milk."
