"Mosquitoes flew around me with the product on, but the majority of the time didn't land on me. When the product comes out of the bottle it squirts on, not mists like other sprays. Has a few flaws, but overall pretty good."

"I wanted a repellant that was natural & DEET free and I got just that in Burt's Bees Herbal Insect Repellant. My first use was applied before mowing the grass one summer evening and I was not bit once. All other applications have provide the same protection. I'm very happy with my purchase. Please note that the product has a tolerable citrusy smell. It also is in an oil form & doesn't spray evenly, so you will have use your hands to fully apply it to sections of your body."

"I really like this product. We have a lot of mosquitos where we live and before using this product a few hours outside and I would 6-8 bites. I didn't have any bites after using this repellant. I love that its from Burts Bees and that its natural. I am not afraid to use it on my child. My only complaint is that its a little smelly(but I have yet to find a repellant that isn't) and a little greasy. But well worth the money."

"i enjoyed this product. it has a great smell, and works fairly well. i did have to reapply over the course of a night, but for the most part the bugs stayed away. downsides: it is an oily product and the container ended up being slightly slippery in my hands. also, the container i have leaks, which is hopefully just a fluke with mine, and not a fundamental design flaw...overall though- i would purchase again."

"I bought this because of the excellent reviews that it received. I used it once when the insects really weren't too bad and it seemed to work then. The people around me did question where the smell was coming from though. That was a bit embarrassing. It is a bit strong, not unpleasant, just strong. I tried it again in woods that were heavy with mosquitoes however and didn't feel that it was effective at all. I wouldn't get your hopes up. As much as I would have loved for this to work due to the safe ingredients, it just didn't do the job that I hoped it would do."

"i live on a lake and with all the rain we have had tons of mosquitos. I used the burts bees insect repellent and have not been bitten once. It smells great and moisturizes the skin as well. It is a little oily so only a tiny little bit is needed. GREAT PRODUCT!!"

"Spray does not provide full coverage but spays in a thin stream so that it has to be spread by hand. Got bitten but couldn't tell if coverage was not complete or the repellent did not work. This was at Jewel Basin at Big Fork, Montana where there were swarms of mosquitoes."

"I sprayed this on my pants legs on July 4th and got four bites on the back of my leg from something and have a huge rash that I have been to the dermatologist two times. I am on steroids to help with the rash and would not recommend this product."

"I like to use natural products when possible so thought I'd give this a try. Unforturnately, it has an unpleasant oily feel, smells odd, and actually attracts mosquitoes. I received more bites in a 15 minute period than I would have if using no product at all. I'll stick to DEET--it works."

"I love this product! It smells great and I really like the fact that it does not contain DEET. It works GREAT (better than California Baby product). I highly recommend this for children, adults, anyone who wants to stay away from products w/ DEET (and a bunch of chemicals). Every time I use this on my son, he does not get one mosquito bite. (I, on the other hand forget to put it on myself and end up w/ twenty!) It really works."
