NSI ActiVin® Grape Seed Extract -- 200 mg - 100 Capsules

NSI ActiVin® Grape Seed Extract -- 200 mg - 100 Capsules

For years, scientists have studied the phenomenon known as the "French Paradox." The French have a diet filled with saturated fat and cholesterol, yet they have the lowest rate of heart disease of any western society-nearly half that of the U.S. Some scientists believe the answer lies in the red wine the French drink-specifically, the polyphenolic bioflavonoids concentrated inside the grape seeds, which end up in the wine. In fact, that's why some experts believe that red wine is more healthful than white, since red wine is fermented with the seeds while white wine is not. The polyphenolic bioflavonoids in grape seeds, which include oligomeric proanthocyanidins or "OPCs", are some of the most powerful antioxidants yet discovered. ActiVin® is a highly concentrated source of OPCs, which delivers the power of these flavonoids in a convenient, alcohol-free form to help your body fight free radicals and the damage they cause. ActiVin® is a patented form of grape seed extract, which is a powerful antioxidant. Activin® may have more potent free radical-scavenging activity than vitamin C, vitamin E and beta carotene.  . Did You Know? All NSI supplements are packaged in HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottles. These bottles keep moisture vapor out, protecting the freshness and integrity of their contents, and are 400% more effective compared other brands currently using PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. HDPE bottles do not break as glass can and are also recyclable so we urge you to please recycle them.

Best Researched Grape Seed Extract, June 28, 2008
By vitaminman from Florham Park, NJ

"There's a very good reason why NSI uses the ActiVin-brand Grape Seed Extract in almost all of their multi-vitamins and multi-nutrient antioxidant formulas...it is the best researched of all the grape seed extracts...and is manufactured to the highest standards from very high quality grapes grown in the wine country in Northern California.

This 200 mg dosage is the highest I've come across, and the price simply cannot be beat.

Grape Seed Extract is great for protecting cholesterol against oxidation, strengthening the arteries / capillaries / veins, protecting the eyes against free radical damage, has anti-inflammatory / natural anti-histamine effects, and may have anti-carcinogenic activity.

ActiVin has been around for a long time, and has many studies to prove its worth. I had many excellent testimonials from customers using NSI products that contained ActiVin when I sold these products in my first health food store...including this "stand alone" formula, and the Grape Seed / Red Wine / Green Tea formula.

Did some good, June 19, 2008
By Kacey

"I bought this for my dog, who has severe atypical and life-threatening contact allergies. He's on many supplements and special foods as well as Atopica and other meds. Another dog owner said grapeseed had cleared up her dog's minor allergies as well as her own, so I gave it a try.

I wasn't expecting miracles with my hothouse flower and I didn't get them--but it *does* make a difference, enough so his primary meds are mainly handling even this main allergy season. That's a simplification--there's still tons of management going on here--but that the grapeseed has made a difference at all is a blessing.

"This grapeseed product really works !! I have been using it for 4-5 years and have had great results. My veins and capillaries are weak -- they break and bleed easily -- but after using Activin for the first time for just 1 week they were noticeably improved. I have used more expensive brands of grapeseed extract, and also Pycnogenol, but with no better results. Activin cannot be beat for its price and effectiveness !"
