"I think NSI products are good quality based on reading some independent lab tests that validated the NSI label claims. I'm sure that this product contains what it says, however, I've noticed a garlic "burp" issue with it, even when taken with food. This might not be the case for everyone, but this one definitely isn't truly odorless for me."

"i take one tablet at a time twice a day and it repeats on me a little every time. this happens up to a few hours afterward which is simply annoying. it's like i just had shrimp scampi. i'm going back to Kyolic since it's truly deodorized."
"I bought this product because I usually have success with NSi products. My family and I were reeking of garlic when we ate it fresh and this claimed to be deodorized. However, after the first pill it hurt my stomach soo fad I thought I was going to faint. Also, I smelled horrible for a good 3 days after I stopped taking it. I saw that other people said they had success, so I don't know what went wrong, but I hated it."

"The health benefits of increasing garlic intake have been discussed for years but most of us believe it is best if we do. The problem I have with this particular product is the "deodorized" part. It isn't. When I open the bottle I get the overpowering odor of garlic. When I take the recommended dosage, the STRONG flavor of garlic "comes back" on me for hours afterword. By all means, increase your intake of garlic - just not this particular brand."
"Be aware that deodorized does not mean free of garlic aroma. When you open the bottle it smells of garlic and when you take it, you also taste garlic. It is important to place it between starting and stopping a meal to reduce burping garlic."

"I bought this about a month ago and have been taking two capsules per day. I had to make sure I took it with food, otherwise it gave me indigestion. It does smell mildly garlicky and I did burp up the garlic taste, but was prepared to keep taking it. Then my significant mentioned that my skin smelled like garlic and that my breath was especially strong. I prefer not to have the people I work with avoiding talking to me because my breath smells. I might try fennel seed (see NYTimes article in the Well blog). I'm also taking plant sterols and pantothenic acid to lower cholesterol. If those don't do the trick I might try another brand of garlic capsules."
"This product is effective as a supplement but I find that it smells like a bottle of garlic powder. It is like eating a very spicy meal. I taste it about a ½ hour after eating, it must be eaten in the middle of a meal, and it will cause bad breath. If this is odorless, smelly garlic would kill you!"

"The good: Great concentration of allicin at a better price. While garlic is usually not expensive, it's always nice to save a few $. The bad: while it is odorless in the sense that it does NOT exude from your pores, it causes you to burp/rift within minutes after taking. People around you will notice!! So...be smart about the timing of when you take it, i.e. don't take it before you are heading to a social occasion. As a side note, my wife needs to take it with food."

"I usually love all the NSI products but I really hate this one. It gives bad indigestion and I burp it up all day. I've tried it both on an empty and full stomach and the results are the same. I would not ever buy this one again."

"Despite the great high potency of this garlic supplement, I've never once had a garlic taste/odor "repeat" on me.
I take this to reduce cholesterol, and I've had excellent results there, but since I also changed my diet slightly, it's hard to know what part if any the garlic played.
The other possible benefit I've noticed is that I've had fewer low blood sugar incidents in the six months I've been taking this supplement. Again, hard to know whether garlic played a part in that, but I think it may have.

"I purchased this product on the recommendation of a chiropractor who said she felt I had a low-grade chronic infection. In fact, I have been repeatedly troubled by a deep pocket below the gumline between my teeth. The garlic, I believe, has definitely had a positive effect on this problem as I have had far less pain and sometimes no pain at all. I take two capsules per day, but think I could probably take more without any side effects. There is no stomach upset and I do not get "garlic breath"."
"This product seems to leave me with a headache and had to discontinue use. Have not had this issue with other Garlic products. As for the after-taste and "burp episodes", it's there, but not too bad in comparision to other similar products. Would say this is my first disapointment after enjoying many other NSI products."
