Supports the lining of the stomach and intestinal tract. 100 Chewable Tablets. DGL contains a unique chewable extract of deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) widely used in Europe. DGL must be chewed, because combining saliva with DGL's natural compounds promotes absorption and ensures optimum value. In deglycyrrhizinated licorice, the glycyrrhizin - a compound associated with high blood pressure - has been removed.

"I agree that the taste isn't going to win any prizes, but you get used to it over time, and certainly the disappearance of heartburn has been worth it. I chew two as soon as I get up in the morning and two a little while before I go to sleep, as well as two 20 minutes before a meal (if I remember) and my heartburn has all but disappeared over the last six weeks."

"Nature's Herbs stopped making DGL about a year ago and since then I have looked for an alternative. This product works about 75% as well but tastes so awful that it is not possible to recommend it."

"This Enzymatic Therapies DGL has been so helpful to me. The directions are to take the DGL before meals, but if I have an acid feeling stomach after eating I will chew two DGL and it brings relief. This has been a great and new found alternative to taking other over the counter acid reducers."
