"This is the only brand of Calcium Magnesium supplement that I have found with both elements in the citrate form, which is said to be better absorbed by the body. It is also in 2:1 ratio of calcium to magnesium, which is perfect. I also take this with Vitamin D3, cholecalciferol, because it helps the body absorb the calcium better. The serving size of the cal-mag is 4 tablets, but I have found that 3 is enough for me. (you can tell if you have too much if you have loose stools.) Don't take with a meal because the stomach acids might not be available to help absorb it. It also acts like an antacid and may neutralize stomach acid and impair digestion. Check out the book, "The Miracle of Magnesium" by Carolyn Dean."

"I used to purchase the NSI Calcium, Magnesium & Vitamin D combination, but since I now take several other NSI supplements that also contain Vitamin D, I opted to switch to this calcium & magnesium only supplement. I take 2 in the morning and 2 at night. They are very easy to swallow and although they are a bit more expensive per dose than the previous combination, I believe they're a good addition to my regular regimen."

"It's hard to find a cal-mag supplement that does not use magnesium oxide. Oxide is a cheap form of magnesium that does not absorb well and is more likely to cause loose stools. I also like that it is in capsule form. Overall a great product at a good price!"

"I've tried many types of calcium suppliments and this is the best one so far. In addition to being the right type of calcium (citrate) and having the necessary magnesium included, it is the easiest type of pill to swallow! I get my vitamin D from a separate multi-vitamin suppliment and my doctor has warned me about excess vitamin D, so I'm glad to find a good calcium suppliment that doesn't include vitamin D so I can take lots of the pills quickly and safely."
