Malic acid is a natural fruit acid that is present in most cells in the body and is an important component of numerous enzymes key to ATP synthesis and energy production. Magnesium is an essential mineral in over 300 enzymatic reactions in metabolism. These reactions include those involved in the Krebs cycle (one of the body's main energy production processes), energy storage, the breakdown of fatty acids, protein synthesis, DNA metabolism, neurotransmitter activity and hormone regulation. "3 pills / day my blood pressure dropped from 150/ 85 to 125/ 70..There is no backup research on this anywhere.."

"These are ok but are quite large and a bit difficult to swallow. I prefer the capsules which i ordered last time. They seem to be more effective too. Good value though."

"Effective. Good for pain, good sleep, healthy bowel.
Makes me drowsy if taken in daytime.
Stronger than other Mag tabs I've taken which is good in my case.
Would prefer capsules to tablets but that is the only down point."

"In my reading i find that magnesium has a problem with absorption-- the malate form is best for that. Its hard to find. Vitacost has the best combination of price, proper formulation, and highest concentration around. On top of that i get delivery in just 2-3 days. Can't beat the combination."
