Smart Basics MCT Oil -- 16 fl oz

MCT Oil is a purified triglyceride product from the same supply that is used to feed infants with fat malabsorption syndrome (cystic fibrosis) and to provide long-term intravenous feeding. MCT Oil is quickly absorbed and utilized for energy by organs and muscles. All other food fats are absorbed through a complex sequence of events and digestion is slowed in their presence. This is why the stomach retains a high fat meal longer and releases the liquid food to the intestine in smaller portions. MCT Oil gives you an energized feeling in a very short time. MCT Oil should be incorporated slowly into your diet to prevent cramping and diarrhea. MCT Oil is a fat that is not stored in the body and helps burn existing fat stores. MCT Oil provides fast abundant energy for exercise because of rapid absorption. Because MCT is a plant source lipid, it contains no cholesterol. MCT Oil serves as a carrier for food flavors when substituted for traditional cooking fats in baked goods and salad dressings.

good stuff, September 30, 2009

"I think this oil is great. I use it to cook everything in place of olive oil. I have referred it to friends and they love it too. This website seems to have the best price for it too."

Doesn't Store As Body Fat, May 29, 2009
By ogoj from NYC

"I read great things about MCT oil (derived from heart-healthy coconut oil) especially with regard to energy production, increasing base metabolic rate, & not building up in tissues as body fat. This brand is tasteless, light bodied & palatable. The only thing I'd change is the bottle spout, which I have to wipe up because it leaks after pouring. MCT oil is highly shelf stable & won't get rancid at room temperature for at least a couple of years (though no doubt it would be used up way sooner than that). Excellent product, excellent deal."

Great product!, February 28, 2009
By aleidab

"This tasteless oil is great for salad dressings and for cooking at low to med. temps. For those who enjoy the benefits of coconut oil but don't want the coconut taste, this is for you. Also perfect for those using hCG injections."

Very Useful, July 26, 2008
By JonLovesNutrition from Eugene, OR

"I have used this product time and time again to get my fat metabolism excited. I use a tablespoon with macaroni and cheese or with other pastas, or any food for that matter and it blends nicely. Sometimes I even use it like the brand Muscle Milk does, and add it purely for MCTs in my protein shakes."

great product, February 29, 2008

"does a fabulous job, you can fry foods with it (not over 350 degrees, and not deep fry) and not have the typical bad consequences of eating fried foods. It seems to give more energy."

"This is the best MCT. Carefully made and recommended by doctors, chiropractors, and homeopaths. It doesn't look special, but it's the only brand I'll buy."
